Not only does learning online save travel costs, but you gain access to the best tutors from all over the world.
Whilst students sometimes prefer learning in person, the vast majority of students report being pleasantly surprised by the experience of learning with a tutor online. On LanguaTalk, lessons are taught 1-on-1 so that you receive your tutor’s full attention and can progress quickly. Learning a language should be fun and the German you learn should suit the environment you want to use it in. Hello! My name is Hilda.
As a foreign language correspondent, I also studied to teach German (DaF teacher) at the Goethe Institute in Munich.
I have been teaching German to people of all ages and all levels for more than 20 years from A0 to C2.
Learning a language is speaking a language. So we're going to have a lot of conversation.
I also prepare you for the Goethe-Zertifikat exam or an equivalent certificate.
- You get your own presentation (My German Course) on Google Slides, your own access to Google Docs, as well an access to an interactive software.
I look forward to a first trial lesson with you.

Hello future students,
Are you looking to bring your German to the next level? Whether you are a complete beginner, intermediate or even advanced German speaker, I'll be able to tailor a lesson just for you. In our lessons, you will be the main character doing most of the talking and writing, but don't worry, I will guide you through it.
I have over three years of teaching experience - both online and classroom teaching - and I have worked with students from 11-55 years old, different levels of German, and various cultural backgrounds. We will try and speak as much German as possible right from the start, but it would be helpful if you spoke some English. If not you won't be able to read this text anyways, so I don't really know why I even wrote it here. Oh well.
If I am not busy teaching German, you can often find me dangling off the end of a rope doing some rock-climbing or going on some stunning hikes, but we can talk more about hobbies in our lessons - in German of course :)
Come book a trial lesson with me and find out what it's all about. I'm looking forward to getting to know you!
Bis bald,
Julia

Depending on your level in German, we come up with topics to talk about in order to practice your conversation skills: travel, politics, the cities we live in, art, culture, the news, your job, your dreams and goals - anything :) It doesn't matter if you're fluent or not, I will adjust to your level (B1 and up) so that you don't feel overwhelmed. Language learning should be fun!
Corrections and suggestions will be provided in the chat box. (this is not a grammar class though so explanations will be kept brief to focus on the conversation and improving fluency.
Given my background as a Communications Director at a global company I'm also happy to include business topics if that's of interest to you. (as well Mock Interview Sessions are possible)
My classes are NOT for beginners. As it is a conversation class, you must be able to hold at least a basic conversation (B1 level or higher)
I look forward to talking with you! :)

Hello my name is Sophia!
I'm from Southern Germany, I studied Social Anthropology in Berlin, travelled some time as digital nomad and live in Argentina right now. I have experience in teaching German on other language platforms for about 2 years now and think its a lot of fun. Last year I got my teachers certificate from the Goethe-Institut. My classes are varied and personal. I like to include writing tasks, hearing tasks, vocabulary games and of course grammar exercises. My goal is to make you gain confidence in speaking and writing while I always try to adapt to your personal interests and learning speed. I am patient and friendly.
My motto: Don't be afraid to make mistakes because that is how you learn.
Looking forward to meet you!

Would you like to learn German with personalized lessons according to your needs and interests? Then I'm the right teacher for you! In my German lessons you will not only learn the correct pronunciation and grammar but also a lot of useful facts and details about the German culture and way of living. This will help you if you are already living in a German-speaking country or plan to move there. I can also help you with exam preparation, such as Goethe-Test, Telc, or TestDaF.
In our German lessons you will find a safe space to practice speaking, make mistakes, get feedback, and little by little get more confident. Together we will create a tailored program designed to practice the specific situations where you will need to use German. We will use role plays, audios, videos, and a lot of different materials in order to improve your speaking, reading, writing and listening skills. Every student has a different learning pace and different needs and interests. In the trial lesson I will find out what your goals are and with that information I will be able to adapt my German lessons so that you will learn German and enjoy doing it!
Since I have a Zoom Business account, you won't need to reconnect to the meeting during our lessons (55 minutes).
Some facts about me: I was born in Spain and raised in Germany, so Spanish and German are my native languages, but I also speak English (C1 level), French (B2 level), and a little bit of Portuguese. Over the last 30 years I have taught languages (English, German, and Spanish) to children and adults of all ages and levels. I've helped several students to pass different language exams.
I love languages and that reflects in my teaching! Don't hesitate and book a trial lesson with me.
See you soon,
Carmen

Sometimes students tell us that they're not sure about learning German online because they think it’ll be completely different to learning face-to-face. But usually when they try it, they find that the experience is almost the same and they often build a solid relationship with their tutor.
Once you start a video call with your chosen tutor, you’ll be able to communicate with them as if you were in the same room. The tutor will typically also share learning resources with you (newspaper articles, YouTube, etc.) and you’ll be able to collaborate in real-time using a tool like Google Docs or Dropbox Paper.
Some tutors on LanguaTalk may offer local lessons, but most only provide online lessons as it is more convenient and allows them to work from home. In addition, many tutors do not teach German in Ipswich as they live elsewhere in the world. If you book a lesson with a tutor, you should assume that it will be online unless the tutor specifically states that they offer in-person lessons in Ipswich.
If you prefer not to learn online with tutor, LanguaTalk may not be the right choice for you. Instead, you can search for tutor, we recommend giving online learning a try as it is often as good as in-person learning and allows you to access better tutors at a lower cost. You can also book a free trial session to see if it is right for you.
There are several options for learning German in Ipswich, whether you live in the city center or the suburbs. You can use an app or software program to learn basic vocabulary and grammar. You can also join group lessons with German tutors in Ipswich if you prefer a social learning experience. Alternatively, you can take one-on-one lessons with a private tutor, which is more expensive but may be the most effective option if you have a good tutor. Learning online may make private tutors a more affordable choice. Prices vary based on the tutor, but are generally cheaper than in-person lessons in Ipswich.
Our research indicates that the average cost for private German lessons in Ipswich is between $25-$35 per hour. Online tutors do not need to travel to you and often live in countries with a lower cost of living, so the hourly cost is generally lower.

Trial lessons are 30 minutes long. They allow you to evaluate whether the tutor is a good fit for you and experience learning online. The tutor will assess your level and try to understand your needs and interests so they can customize any lessons you decide to take. You will be encouraged to speak in German as much as possible, but you can also speak in English if needed.
If, after your trial lesson, you don't feel that the tutor is right for you, you can schedule a trial lesson with another tutor for 30 percent of their full lesson price.
Lessons are conducted one-on-one, allowing you to receive personalized attention from your tutor. lessons are conducted via video call, and you can use any device with a stable internet connection and a webcam to join the lesson.
Your tutor will create a customized lesson plan based on your goals, learning style, and current level. During the lesson, you will have the opportunity to speak, listen, and interact with your tutor in real-time. Your tutor may also provide you with additional materials, such as audio recordings or written exercises, to help you practice and consolidate your learning.
Most students take 55-minute lessons. However, some tutors also offer the option of 30-minute lessons. If this is available, it will be noted on their profile (below their pricing and above the 'Buy Lessons' button).
In general, we recommend 55-minute lessons for most students. You may want to consider 30-minute lessons only if you have an intermediate level and only want conversation practice, or if the lesson is for a child.
The advantage of taking lessons online is that you can learn at any time and from any location. When you select a tutor, check their calendar to ensure that they have available slots that fit your schedule. Some tutors may have limited availability due to high demand from other students.
