My name is Francesca, I am Italian and I grew up in a small town close to Genoa on the Ligurian Riviera. Now I live in Houston. I have a master degree in History of Art, but I also love languages and as soon as I moved to the United States, I started teaching Italian. I have been teaching Italian for almost 5 years and I love it, because it gives me the opportunity to meet people from all over the world.

I teach to students of all levels: beginners, intermediate and advanced. My youngest student is 3 years old and my oldest one is 80 years old. I customize each lesson, following your needs. Whether you want to learn Italian for fun, travel or for work I can help you, by teaching this wonderful language in a stimulating way doing interactive activities, listening, watching videos, playing games and reading books and texts. We can focus on conversation or grammar or both of them, as you wish.

Hi, I'm a native Italian teacher and live in Salerno, a little town in the south of Italy.

I have been studying English and Spanish, so I know from experience that learning a language takes time and dedication. My aim is to make this process as pleasant and fun as possible. 

I deal with many students around the world by giving language lessons, both in person, at the Italian language school Accademia Leonardo in Salerno, and online.

My passion for languages and my studies brought me to understand that languages are not just simple codes ruled by grammar norms, but that they are actually used to express ourselves as individuals with different backgrounds and cultures.

Lessons will focus primarily on the conversational aspect of the language by using textbooks and materials (e.g. PDFs, audiofiles, Googledocs) that I use in language schools in Italy.

Since I have the DITALS certification, I can help you pass CELI, PLIDA and CILS exams.

Flexibility will be guaranteed according to the student. All students will be asked to take a placement test that they will have to submit at least 3 days before the first lesson. We'll be discussing the results during the fist lesson and then decide how to work together.

Since I also work at the language school, I strongly recommend booking in advance so I can arrange my agenda.

My name is Donatella and I’m a native Italian Language Tutor. First of all, I think it is very important to introduce myself to give you the chance to get to know me better: I have 2 graduate degrees: a Master's degree of Languages (in French and Japanese) and a Bachelor of Economics. In addition, I have a Master’s degree in Training and Human Resource Management. 

For the last five years, I have been teaching French to Italian speakers and, above all, Italian to foreigners. I have learnt that each student is unique. Each student has a unique way of thinking, unique goals, and unique language learning needs. 

As a teacher, I do my best to adapt to your needs. I plan our lessons to suit you and your learning style. During our trial lesson, we will discuss your learning goals and together we’ll make a detailed plan for you to reach them. Using my materials you will be speaking Italian from day 1. 

During our classes we will develop all of the skills - reading, writing, listening and most importantly speaking - through many activities: listening to songs, watching film clips, reading texts; pronunciation exercises; the introduction and memorization of vocabulary in an efficient way; and the study of grammar in an interactive way. Hi, My name is Anna, and I'm from Venice in Italy.

I'm a bilingual Italian and English teacher and a freelance translator. I graduated in English language and literature at Ca' Foscari University in Venice, where I live with my family. I am studying to get a Postgraduate Master ITALS to teach Italian language to foreigners. My field of research is Psycholinguistics and Neurolinguistics to understand what happens in our brain when we study a new language.

I also have a CEDILS certification to teach Italian abroad. I've been teaching Italian and English since 2004. I work with students from all backgrounds, and my classes are for those who want to improve Italian communication, grammar, vocabulary and reading. 

I focus on your needs, no matter what your level is and I work on your confidence because everyone of us is a learner and I know how it feels when you can't find the words. 

My sessions are very personal because I think that each student is different and has a personal way to learn. I'll be very pleased to work with you and help you reach your goals. When I'm not teaching, I like travelling. I lived in London for some time and also in Liverpool while I was writing my thesis about the Scouse variety of English. I taught for 6 months to two students of 14 years old who needed some help because they were not going good at school, then I helped a 20 years old guy to pass his boarding exam for three months and my latest student is a girl of 22 years old who has to take a university exam.

Hello! I'm Giada and I'm a linguaphile, as I love all languages so much.

I'm fluent in English and Spanish, and I'm currently learning Chinese (such a huge and rewarding challenge!)and Portuguese. As a student myself, I know how tricky learning a new language can be, but I also know that it's very exciting, that's why I try to teach a new language keep feeding that excitement and forgetting about the rest. Only positive vibes here, because I truly believe that we need a proactive environment to shine.

The most difficult part of the process is TO SPEAK, that's why I try to give you the tools to be independent and confident in speaking. This means that you'll start speaking since our very first lesson! My method is TAILORED to the single student as we are all different and we learn in different ways.

The second step is to create a solid grammar structure that will last a lifetime, using specific exercises and practicing the conversation. Hi, my name is Chiara and I’m from Italy, but I lived abroad for about 6 years, in the Uk, in Australia, in New Zealand and in Perù. 

I have been working as an English and Italian teacher for about 9 years now, and I love my job. I love helping others achieve their goals.

I love traveling and meeting new people and experiencing different cultures. That’s why I decided to study languages. I am a polyglot and besides English and Italian, I can also speak Spanish, French, and German. So I know what it’s like to study a foreign language! I can teach you how to improve your speaking, and your listening, besides the grammar and the vocabulary, because I’ve done it myself in the first place! I also know that sometimes learning a language is not easy, but I know how you can overcome these difficulties.

I am Ilaria, and I am a native Italian teacher. I have been teaching Italian for several years now, and I love my job.

I am a full-time Italian teacher, and I am building my entire career around the Italian language. I am also a blogger and a podcaster.

In the past, I have attended German and Spanish courses. But I am still a language student, in fact, I keep taking English classes, so I know how difficult and frustrating can be to learn a foreign language for my students.

My teaching method is focused on the students. During the first lesson, I ask them why they want to learn Italian and the goals they want to achieve. I am a supportive person, and I will constantly be there to guide you during the challenge of learning a foreign language!

With beginners, we will start learning grammar, but I will try to let them speak from the first lesson, helping them to create their first sentences.

Once the level advances, the part of the conversation will become gradually longer, but obviously, we will keep adding grammar information.

With students with a higher level, I will be more flexible and, the work to do will be decided together. Some of them prefer to have an informal lesson, based on conversation. Others prefer to have a more structured class, with readings and exercises.

Hello, I'm Paolo, and I was born and raised in Sardinia, Italy, which is one of the largest and most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean Sea.
I don't live in Italy anymore, as I now travel the world full-time, seeing new places, experiencing new cultures, and learning new languages.

I started working as an online tutor in 2015,  and have taught for over 2,000 hours. I offer conversation sessions, so if you have at least an intermediate level of Italian and want to practice with a native tutor, I'm the person you're looking for!

Our sessions will be informal, interesting, and fun! You can practice by speaking in Italian, and I'll give you suggestions and corrections on your pronunciation.

All of our conversation sessions will be exclusively in Italian. Based on your preferences and needs, we'll choose discussion topics, such as travel, food, traditions, and international and Italian news. We can also do reading activities to improve your pronunciation, vocabulary, and comprehension.

My name is Ilaria and I studied International Communication at "University for Foreigners of Perugia", but don't worry (in Italian we would say "tranquillo"), I'm 100% italian!

My first experience in teaching Italian as a second language was in 2009 in the south of France.

Once back in Italy I began teaching Italian to foreign students at school...it was 2010.

I've been doing it since then and my students come from all over the world. Today I know for sure that is not enough to be a "native" to teach someone a language.

Grammar is often considered boring but we can't avoid learning it. Only when you know the role and function of every single word in a sentence you'll have a solid understanding that will improve your confidence in speaking a foreign language.  

It's like to lay the foundations for building a house!
