¡Hola! I am a teacher of Spanish as a foreign language at the University of Hong Kong and I am passionate about helping students learn Spanish in a practical and fun way. My teaching experience has been gained in schools, universities, and small online groups of individuals. Additionally, I am also an examiner of the official exams of the Cervantes Institute. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, reading, and learning about different cultures.

I am a certified Spanish teacher with experience teaching in various settings including schools, universities, and online. My methodology is very practical and focused on my students practicing the language and learning from their mistakes in an enjoyable and positive way. I use ELE Actual Spanish books as a guide, but it is not necessary for students to buy them as all materials are included in the price of my lessons. During the week, students will have access to the Google Classroom platform to review the class's content, solve exercises as homework, and review materials and corrections provided by the teacher.

My training as a Spanish instructor is based on studies of Spanish grammar and using the communicative approach methodology that is based on practical and simple activities that help develop skills such as oral expression, listening comprehension, writing with dictation and reading as well. Of course phonetics is included. Each class focuses on the specific needs of each student.

In each class I emphasize oral practice to help students feel confident to express themselves naturally in specific situations.

In some cases, the grammatical structure is included in a simplified and dynamic way, and the grammatical concepts may or may not be used in our class, depending on the interests or preferences of each student.

Also, I like to share the history and culture of my country and Latin America through the practice of Spanish as a natural practice for intermediate and advanced Spanish.

My name is Amaya and I am a very passionate Spanish teacher.

I have a postgraduate in Spanish teaching as a foreign language by the University of Barcelona, also I am a DELE examiner and I have as well the Spanish teaching certificate to teach in secondary school. I teach also Spanish for specific purposes like business and I have experience training new Spanish teachers. My level of English is very good and I am very successful in my work which I feel very passionate for.

I work as a face to face and online teacher, I teach all levels, all ages, all nationalities. I am Alberto, a highly-skilled and dedicated Spanish teacher from Spain. We can use videos, podcast, articles, music, books, newspapers, phases to start a conversation. We have endless topics. And I can help you with all mistakes you may have. If it is needed we can review grammar accordingly with your common mistakes. But do not forget that make mistakes is one of the best ways to improve. It is important for me that you feel in a safe space.
