Hace algunos años, decidí estudiar un grado en Lenguas Modernas y sus Literaturas (inglés-francés). Además, también he terminado un máster en Educación. Las lenguas, las culturas y la gente son solo algunas de mis verdaderas pasiones. Creo firmemente en que todas/os deberíamos poder aprender a la vez que disfrutamos y nos sentimos felices. ¡Esta clase será un espacio seguro! 1. ¡No me gustan las clases aburridas!, así que utilizaremos materiales/métodos siempre basados en tus intereses. Daremos clases mediante herramientas interactivas y relacionadas con juegos. El enfoque será esencialmente COMUNICATIVO/INNOVADOR.
2. Todas las clases estarán previamente preparadas de acuerdo con las necesidades, el nivel del alumnado.

My name is Carlos, I am 38 years old and I live in Malaga, in the south of Spain. I am a Spanish teacher for foreigners, I love meeting people from different cultures and teach them my native language as well as Spanish culture. I consider myself a positive, cheerful and sociable person.

I am currently an online Spanish teacher, working with students from all over the world. I have been working as an online teacher for 4 years, but before coming into  this new world of online teaching I worked for 8 years for different Spanish schools for foreigners in the city where I live, Malaga. 

As a Spanish teacher, I’d say that I am a very dynamic and attentive teacher, I give special importance to communication, without leaving aside grammar. I offer conversation practice and structured courses, from absolute beginner to C1, grammar drills and homework if you wish. Wide experience with adults and senior students. I will provide you with notes and examples from our lessons, during the lesson in Google Docs, or after the lesson, via e-mail. You don't need to decide in advance if you prefer Latin American Spanish or European Spanish, I can teach you the main differences and help you decide. 

In our first lesson or trial we will figure out how your learning plan will be, depending on your individual needs, learning style and goals. If it's your first online lesson, there's no need to stress, I'm very understanding and patient.

At first I consider it important to hear what the apprentice is looking for and based on that, choose how the next lesson are going to take place. However I tend to make my lessons dynamic, interspersing conversations and various exercises including grammar, music and even books. I have a blackboard available to use if necessary and also headphones with a microphone to improve the audio quality.

Are you brave enough to learn Spanish using only the target language?🤔  I know it may sound a bit overwhelming at first, but my experience confirms that it is quite an efficient and proven way to acquire a new language.

I'm patient and commited. My goal is helping you improve your fluency. I focus a lot on pronunciation and the correct use of vocabulary.

My classes are based mainly on conversation. We will speak about general topics and topics of your interest, sometimes using articles, stories, short videos. I can help with grammar as well but if you have a specific request you should let me know in advance so that I prepare the class acording to it.

In the lessons we will use whatever resources are necessary to achieve our goals. We will use material of interest to you, such as websites, newspapers, songs, podcasts and videos, etc.

I prefer to speak in Spanish from the beginning (ELE Certified). But if necessary, we will use English (120 hours TESOL Certified). I have lived in Africa and on the border with Brazil for a few years, so Portuguese is another option.
