Hi! Welcome to my online classes.
I`ve been teaching languages for five years now and I`ve recently started teaching Spanish, my mother tongue.
Every class is planned in advance and taking into account the student needs. When the class is finished, I always save a copy of what we`ve gone over, therefore the next class is even better and the material even more accurate and entertaining. I use a wide variety of resources, ranging from the most renowned text books, online exercises, or grammar resources to articles, news, or media in general.
Whether it`s just for leisure or business, I hope I can help you achieve your goals related to this beautiful language.
I think It`s worth mentioning here a little bit of my background because it adds up to the whole experience. I`ve been surrounded by languages, different cultures and literature since I was a child. I`ve studied languages at school but also on my own for a long time. I was born and raised in Argentina but have lived in Spain for two years. I also love travelling. I worked for the tourism industry for several years before becoming a teacher. I love learning and talking about almost anything, so I even know some medical terms just to give an example of how much I love words and communication. Well, enough of me! hehe, I`m looking forward to meeting you and hopefully work together towards your goal!See Reviews From Students

My name is Melina and I am from Peru. I studied foreign languages at the National University of Cajamarca in the north of Peru and I got a degree in Education – Foreign languages. I speak Spanish (native) and English (B2) very well.
I will help you to learn Spanish for you to achieve your specific goals taking into account your needs, your level and your learning process. Our lessons will include videos, everyday Spanish conversations, slides and more. We will also have cultural activities such as gastronomy, music and tourism. The four skills to learn a foreign language will be included as well: reading, writing, listening and speaking, and you will also have the grammar so that you can understand the language and produce it.
I have worked with people from different ages and levels and I have helped some of them to pass international exams. Over the last 20 years I have taught English and Spanish and I always try to do my best for my students to enjoy the lessons, have fun and above all to learn.
I like meeting people and sharing my experience with them so I hope you can be one of them. If you book a trial lesson with me you will not regret it.

I have been a qualified teacher for 10 years, I am Spanish although I have lived in many different countries. My mother tongue is Spanish but I also speak English, Portuguese and a little French. My classes are fun and effective. With me you will learn grammar, vocabulary and culture and we will focus on the conversation. I design the classes and the material for each student according to their interests, objectives, level and age.

I'm Azahara, a certified Spanish teacher by Instituto Cervantes.
I have specialised in teaching Spanish to English speakers, but I have also taught international students in Thailand, Granada (Spain) and, of course, online.
My lessons are very dynamic and tailored to your needs.
I really enjoy teaching all kind of levels: it is very rewarding seeing the progress of a beginner student that starts to be able to communicate in Spanish after a few well structured classes whereas more advance lessons allow to very interesting topics and a little bit more freedom in the structure of the lesson.
¿Hablamos? Let's talk!
A little bit more about me: I was born and raised in Zaragoza, a small city in the North of Spain famous for its wine, food and a football team that used to be good. I love traveling and languages: currently I'm studying Japanese, but I also (try to) speak French, Arabic and Spanish Sign Language; so yes, I know how it feels learning a language from 0! You're not alone in this process and I'll try my best to make it easy for you :DSee Reviews From Students

ME AS A TEACHER
I have taught over 2,000 classes in the last year and I love helping other people learn my language.
As a teacher, I use a communicative method, which aims to learn a second language using real life examples to learn to communicate in everyday situations. In this method we use grammar just as another tool, which we can often learn through real communicative situations through context, observation and common sense
If you are a beginner, we can put together a plan with the basic topics of Spanish so you can start learning this wonderful language.See Reviews From Students
My lessons are directed to students of all levels looking to develop their own speaking and writing style in Spanish. I believe that the creative drive is one of the most powerful accelerators of learning and in particular, language learning; so my classes involve acting exercises, fun writing prompts, vocal training akin to singers' training, and a variety of further creative work.
We will work on near perfect pronunciation through vocal practice that takes from singing practice, but focuses on diction. You'll become aware of how the muscles of your mouth and face create sound, and how using different resonance points throughout your face will get you to reproduce just the sound you were stuck with. Muscle memory, baby!
Fluency in articulating your own thoughts and essence in Spanish is achievable through writing prompts that do feel important for you. To write about a topic that actually matters to you, I'll provide you with beautiful vocabulary words, and we'll get through grammatical forms that may better encapsulate your ideas and feelings. I will help you make Spanish your own.
If you are wanting to absorb a particular part of Hispanic or Latino culture (e.g. Rosalía's composition, rap music, particular accents, reggeaton's lyrics), we will investigate and go through the elements at interest to get you to the point of creation. If you are a musician or a writer, I can help you use the rhythmic essence of Spanish in your own art. Hit me up!
Within every technique I use, I work with my knowledge of neural connection strengthening and weakening, all facilitated through repetition, reward, understanding and reprogramming of reflexes, investigation of previous outdated strategies, etc. Emotional management is key to success, and we'll work on that in your training just as much as in the linguistic side.

New to LanguaTalk? We'll give you a credit for a free trial session. Many, but not all, teachers offer these for free. If they do not, the price will be just 30 percent of their full lesson price, so you can still try a session at minimal cost.
Trial sessions last 30 minutes. They allow you to assess whether the teacher is a good fit for you, and get a feel for learning online. The teacher will assess your level and aim to understand your needs and interests so that they can customise any classes you decide to take. You'll be encouraged to speak in Spanish as much as possible, but of course you can speak in English too!
If, after your trial session, you don't feel that the teacher is quite right for you, you can book a trial with another teacher for just 30 percent of their full lesson price.
The vast majority of students take 55-minute classes. But some tutors also provide the option of 30-minute classes. If they do, you’ll see this noted on their profile (below their pricing and above the ‘Buy Lessons’ button).
55-minute classes are recommended for most students. In general, we only suggest considering 30-minute classes if they’re for your child, or you have an intermediate level and only want conversation practice.
The beauty of taking classes online is that you can learn anytime, anywhere. When you choose a teacher, just check their calendar to make sure that they have available times that fit your schedule. Some teachers have limited availability as they already have a lot of students.
On LanguaTalk, you can find exceptional tutors for 1-on-1 Spanish classes tailored to your goals and learning preferences. Here’s how to try it for yourself:
1 - Find your ideal tutor by browsing videos, reviews, pricing and availability.
2 - Book a trial. Many tutors offer a 30-minute trial for free; others charge a discounted price.
3 - Take personalised classes with your new tutor via video call. Or try someone else.
No card is required to book a free trial session. Please only book if you're considering taking classes. Pricing varies by tutor and you can use the filter to find someone who fits your budget. You can pay one lesson at a time, or buy in bulk for a discount (open a tutor's profile to see their pricing options).
We’re confident you’ll love learning via LanguaTalk. We're trusted by students all over the world because we're transparent. We ask students to rate each lesson, and we display reviews on tutors’ profiles.
99.8% of lesson ratings are 5 stars. Why? Because unlike other platforms, we accept only the top 10% of tutor applications.
To see our full FAQs or get help from our friendly team, click the '?' in the corner of the screen. You can also watch students talking about their experiences learning via LanguaTalk below.
Lessons are taught 1-on-1 so that you receive your tutor’s full attention and can make fast progress. Communicating via video call, you’ll be able to talk to your tutor and share learning materials as if you were in the same room.
The tutors vary in terms of their teaching methods, resources, experiences, and personalities. So we suggest you look at several profiles to choose the best tutor for you. Whichever Spanish tutor you pick, they'll aim to tailor the classes to your individual needs.
Sometimes students tell us that they're not sure about learning Spanish online because they think it’ll be completely different to learning face-to-face. But usually when they try it, they find that the experience is almost the same and they often build a solid relationship with their teacher.
Once you start a video call with your chosen teacher, you’ll be able to communicate with them as if you were in the same room. The teacher will typically also share learning resources with you (newspaper articles, YouTube, etc.) and you’ll be able to collaborate in real-time using a tool like Google Docs or Dropbox Paper.
Tutors on LanguaTalk sometimes provide classes for adults locally, but most only provide online classes for adults as it is more convenient and allows them to work from home. In addition, most tutors are not teaching Spanish in Napa because they're living elsewhere in the world. If you decide to book with a tutor, you should assume that they can only teach you online.
Whether you live in the city centre or the suburbs of Napa, there are many options for learning Spanish. You could use an app or a software program if you're looking to pick up basic vocabulary and learn some grammar rules. Alternatively, you could attend group classes for adults with Spanish teachers in Napa if you're keen for a social experience. Or, you could take 1-on-1 classes for adults with a private teacher. This isn't the cheapest way to learn a language but it's possibly the most effective, assuming you have a good teacher. Learning online rather than face-to-face may make private teachers a more affordable option. Check the teacher profiles above to see how much it's likely to cost. Prices vary a lot depending on the teacher, but will usually be cheaper than learning with a Spanish teacher in Napa, face-to-face.
Our research suggests that the average cost for private Spanish classes for adults in Napa is somewhere between $25-$35 per hour. As online teachers do not need to travel to you and they often live in countries with a lower cost of living, the hourly cost tends to be significantly lower.
If you're really not keen on learning with a teacher via video call, LanguaTalk isn't going to be the right choice for you. You can instead search for a teacher on a local service listing website, or put up an advert in your local area. We do encourage you to give it a try learning online though - you've got nothing to lose as you can book a free trial session. Most people find the experience is as good as learning face-to-face, but with the benefit of having access to better teachers at a lower cost.
