I`ve been teaching languages for five years now and I`ve recently started teaching Spanish, my mother tongue.  

Every class is planned in advance and taking into account the student needs. When the class is finished, I always save a copy of what we`ve gone over, therefore the next class is even better and the material even more accurate and entertaining. I use a wide variety of resources, ranging from the most renowned text books, online exercises, or grammar resources to articles, news, or media in general.

I think It`s worth mentioning here a little bit of my background because it adds up to the whole experience. I`ve been surrounded by languages, different cultures and literature since I was a child. I`ve studied languages at school but also on my own for a long time. I was born and raised in Argentina but have lived in Spain for two years. I also love travelling. I worked for the tourism industry for several years before becoming a teacher. I love learning and talking about almost anything, so I even know some medical terms just to give an example of how much I love words and communication. ¡Hola! I am a teacher of Spanish as a foreign language at the University of Hong Kong and I am passionate about helping students learn Spanish in a practical and fun way. My teaching experience has been gained in schools, universities, and small online groups of individuals. Additionally, I am also an examiner of the official exams of the Cervantes Institute. I use ELE Actual Spanish books as a guide, but it is not necessary for students to buy them as all materials are included in the price of my lessons. Hello everyone! I am Itziar and I am a Spanish teacher. I am currently living in Spain but I lived in different countries in the past. I am a native speaker with a neutral Spanish accent. My pronunciation is clear and easy to understand. I love teaching Spanish to international students and I am happy to see them making progress  learning the language. Graduated in Hispanic Philology and Masters in Applied French, I have always kept up with my teaching training and have also completed a CELTA course for English teachers. This further training has provided me with the familiarity to different teaching methodologies, which have proven to be extremely useful in my classes.

I have worked as a Spanish teacher for 13 years, both in-person and online. My job duties typically include designing and delivering Spanish courses for all levels. Also a 13 year-experienced translator. I have recently worked on a project which involved developping Spanish lessons and units to be delivered online, so I am used to creating content of my own.

My teaching method is mostly conversational and based on a combination of skills. I use plenty of audiovisuals and various activities to get students to speak. My constant interest in professional training has allowed me to become familiar with techniques and tools that are essential in today´s second language learning.

My lessons are all similarly structured: a grammar point, a few exercises to get started, then controlled practice, and finally an audio or a video related to the topic.

ME AS A TEACHER AND TEACHING STYLE

I consider myself to be an easy person to talk to, patient and fun. I have experience teaching different kinds of students from kids to adults in both online and classroom setting (more than 1300 lessons online + 3 years of classroom setting experience). I have been implementing a combination of the Flipped classroom and communicative approach into the lessons and so far, I have seen  great improvement in my students' ability to communicate. 

TYPES OF LESSONS AND MATERIALS:

Flipped classroom programme: It'll especially boost your Speaking skills in an organised, structured and visual way. Materials will be sent every weekend (video lessons, PDFS, flashcards, grammar games...) and all skills will be covered. In class, we’ll try to practice what you learnt through speaking activities.

Flex lessons: They can be a mix of structure lesson (the one above) and flexible lessons. You can also choose practicing your Spanish through my interactive magazine (B1-B2) which includes: articles, videos, expressions ... In class we can do debates and discussions around these topics.

Conversation programme: Based on the books “Conversar en español I & II”. We’ll do lot of controlled speaking practice. The course also includes access to the Power Points , audio files and notes from the lesson.

As an actress, I have clear pronunciation and voice projection, and I can help you achieve the same. As a writer, I know how to express myself using language correctly. I have experience being a teacher of students with attention deficit, so I have learned how to make my classes interesting. In addition, I believe that each person has a personal method to learn a language, so my classes focus on your needs and adapt to your goals and personality.

Hello everyone! My name is Dionisio. I have been teaching Spanish since 2008 with students from all over the world. I also have experience teaching my language and culture in other countries such as the United States.  

My classes are dynamic and communicative so that from the first moment you can find a space of confidence to express yourself in Spanish. After knowing your interests and your level of Spanish, I adapt my classes to your learning needs. Generally, I like to organize the session around a grammar point, or a vocabulary topic that helps us to structure the class, and helps you to memorize its content. I like to include different resources in my classes such as conversation on different topics, internet articles, grammar worksheets, audios, videos and kahoots that will help you develop your skills to learn Spanish in a real context. I love teaching and learning languages, and in addition to English and Spanish, I speak French and Catalan.

A little bit more about me: although I was born and raised in Zaragoza (Spain), I developed my professional career in Barcelona. Currently, I live on a small island in the Mediterranean Sea. In addition to teaching Spanish, I am passionate about theater and writing, activities to which I also dedicate myself professionally as a stage director, playwright and teacher.
