I offer flexible classes for all levels adapted to your needs, whether you are preparing for an official exam (DELE) or just want to improve your oral or written skills. Furthermore, I have experience working with different ages and I use a communicative approach as well as interactive activities to help you improve your Spanish.

I am someone who is passionate about languages, traveling, and learning about different cultures. Having achieved fluency in a second language (English) I understand the difficulties in learning. I am a responsible, hard-working teacher and I am looking forward to helping you with your language goals.

I'm just a guy who realized that this language can be difficult and tedious to learn. So I want you to enjoy your lessons by simplifying them.

I adapt my teaching to the way you like learning, not all of us like learning the same way,  you might like topics from grammar explained as easy as possible, or  maybe as fast as possible.  It's my mission to make you say: why wasn't it explained to me like this?

It doesn't matter if you know nothing at all, or if you already speak some Spanish, we can cover all the details so you can understand how this language works.

Of course I'm gonna need some effort from you, but I'll make sure this effort is worth it as we'll discard some of the tediousness that comes from learning a language.

Hello everyone! I am Itziar and I am a Spanish teacher. I am currently living in Spain but I lived in different countries in the past. I am a native speaker with a neutral Spanish accent. My pronunciation is clear and easy to understand. I love teaching Spanish to international students and I am happy to see them making progress  learning the language. I have three years of experience teaching Spanish to students from all over the world.

My teaching style:

Patient: I personally experienced the struggles of learning a new language. I learnt different languages from the scratch, so I will encourage you during the lesson.

My lessons are directed to students of all levels looking to develop their own speaking and writing style in Spanish. I believe that the creative drive is one of the most powerful accelerators of learning and in particular, language learning; so my classes involve acting exercises, fun writing prompts, vocal training akin to singers' training, and a variety of further creative work.

We will work on near perfect pronunciation through vocal practice that takes from singing practice, but focuses on diction. You'll become aware of how the muscles of your mouth and face create sound, and how using different resonance points throughout your face will get you to reproduce just the sound you were stuck with. Muscle memory, baby!

Fluency in articulating your own thoughts and essence in Spanish is achievable through writing prompts that do feel important for you. To write about a topic that actually matters to you, I'll provide you with beautiful vocabulary words, and we'll get through grammatical forms that may better encapsulate your ideas and feelings. I will help you make Spanish your own.

If you are wanting to absorb a particular part of Hispanic or Latino culture (e.g. Rosalía's composition, rap music, particular accents, reggeaton's lyrics), we will investigate and go through the elements at interest to get you to the point of creation. If you are a musician or a writer, I can help you use the rhythmic essence of Spanish in your own art. Hit me up!

Within every technique I use, I work with my knowledge of neural connection strengthening and weakening, all facilitated through repetition, reward, understanding and reprogramming of reflexes, investigation of previous outdated strategies, etc. Emotional management is key to success, and we'll work on that in your training just as much as in the linguistic side.

Born in Gran Canaria in 1995, I decided to study a degree in Modern Languages and Literatures (English-French) some years ago. I have also finished my master's degree in Teaching. Hace algunos años, decidí estudiar un grado en Lenguas Modernas y sus Literaturas (inglés-francés). Además, también he terminado un máster en Educación. Las lenguas, las culturas y la gente son solo algunas de mis verdaderas pasiones. 1. ¡No me gustan las clases aburridas!, así que utilizaremos materiales/métodos siempre basados en tus intereses. Daremos clases mediante herramientas interactivas y relacionadas con juegos. El enfoque será esencialmente COMUNICATIVO/INNOVADOR.

ME AS A TEACHER AND TEACHING STYLE

I consider myself to be an easy person to talk to, patient and fun. I have experience teaching different kinds of students from kids to adults in both online and classroom setting (more than 1300 lessons online + 3 years of classroom setting experience). I have been implementing a combination of the Flipped classroom and communicative approach into the lessons and so far, I have seen  great improvement in my students' ability to communicate. 

TYPES OF LESSONS AND MATERIALS:

Flipped classroom programme: It'll especially boost your Speaking skills in an organised, structured and visual way. Materials will be sent every weekend (video lessons, PDFS, flashcards, grammar games...) and all skills will be covered. In class, we’ll try to practice what you learnt through speaking activities.

Flex lessons: They can be a mix of structure lesson (the one above) and flexible lessons. You can also choose practicing your Spanish through my interactive magazine (B1-B2) which includes: articles, videos, expressions ... In class we can do debates and discussions around these topics.

Conversation programme: Based on the books “Conversar en español I & II”. We’ll do lot of controlled speaking practice. The course also includes access to the Power Points , audio files and notes from the lesson. 

Hello everyone! My name is Clara, I am a Spanish teacher from Madrid. I have 5 years of experience as Spanish, French and German teacher (face to face and online). I have taught students from different countries.

I prepare my own materials to adapt lessons to each student, and we use too the book "Aula internacional" for general Spanish courses.

I teach courses to pass DELE (Spanish exam) by using different teaching methods: I explain the grammar points needed for the exam, I provide vocabulary worksheets focus on DELE, and we practice different tests samples (you do not need to buy any preparation book, because I will provide you all the materials you will need to pass DELE, and these materials are based on the most famous DELE methods and DELE books such as ´Las claves del nuevo DELE` or ´Preparación al DELE`)

Also, I do conversational courses. I have two conversational courses: the first one is focused on general conversation about daily life, and the second one is focused on specific topics (technology, education, health, environment, Spanish culture, Spanish history...; depending on the students preferences).

I am qualified Spanish teacher from Málaga (Spain). I lived and taught in London for over 14 years before moving back to Málaga in 2019. I gained my Certificate for Spanish Teaching to Adults in 2011 from International House School of Languages, and I also have a Cambridge CELTA (for English teaching) from the same school, completed in 2020. 

I have taught Spanish to business professionals, at University, to GCSE, A Level and DELE students, and to learners who just take lessons for travelling or self-improvement. My previous and current students all come from multiple backgrounds, nationalities, abilities and levels of Spanish, from total beginner to advanced.

In my classes you will start communicating by simple dialogues (simple if you're a beginner) from the first lesson. I will focus on improving your pronunciation (something often overlooked by teachers); teaching you the grammar gradually, so you don't feel overwhelmed; enriching your vocabulary prioritizing your needs and personal interests; and improving your fluency. My students often praise my patience, my well-planned lessons and the fact that they feel relaxed to learn in class. I welcome mistakes (and correct them of course!) as a sure sign that learning is happening. You do learn a lot from your mistakes. 

As a lifelong lover of the arts and a practicing artist, I like to give my classes a cultural flavour, sharing relevant information about music, films, books and art.
