PRONUNCIATION LESSONS

Our vocal apparatus is one more muscle that we have to exercise for better results. In our pronunciation lessons we are going to make each part of your mouth working out. This way, you will sound more natural when speaking not only Spanish but other languages you intend to learn in the future. After you book a trial lesson with me, I'll send you a comprehensive test that will allow me to determine your Spanish level. I like to focus on students' pronunciation and effective use of language.

My lessons are "Conversational Spanish"; if you are on a basic level, like A2+ / B1, we can have a more structured lesson.  

If you don't understand a specific grammar topic, we can discuss it and use some examples -related to your life-.  

We can also use pictures, paintings (my favorite way of practicing a language), videos, or anything that will help you to talk in Spanish.

My name is Carlos, I am 38 years old and I live in Malaga, in the south of Spain. I am a Spanish teacher for foreigners, I love meeting people from different cultures and teach them my native language as well as Spanish culture. I consider myself a positive, cheerful and sociable person.

I am currently an online Spanish teacher, working with students from all over the world. I have been working as an online teacher for 4 years, but before coming into  this new world of online teaching I worked for 8 years for different Spanish schools for foreigners in the city where I live, Malaga. 

As a Spanish teacher, I’d say that I am a very dynamic and attentive teacher, I give special importance to communication, without leaving aside grammar. I think grammar is important as long as providing a communicative approach . Likewise I adapt to all the needs, levels and goals of the student. As a teacher, I use a communicative method, which aims to learn a second language using real life examples to learn to communicate in everyday situations. My classes are fun and effective. My name is Maribel, I'm Colombian, and I'm a respiratory therapist and language teacher. Currently, I'm studying a master’s degree in Neuro-pedagogy. Thanks to all this knowledge, I use a methodology that is 100% personalized to your needs and desires. 

I am currently specializing in Spanish for travelers, this specialty is a little different from general Spanish, because here we look for a specific goal for your learning, such as a conference, a upcoming trip or simply learning specific terminology of your area.

Together we will set a goal, and in base on that we will create your curriculum, where you are the leader and I give you recommendations. 

 I implement mindfulness, and breathe work exercises to bring all our attention to the class and to favor the concentration and maximize the feeling of joy while learning. We will use online platforms, games, videos, and audios to create fun and interactive classes. I take the time to design the curriculum for each student because we all learn different.

ME AS A TEACHER AND TEACHING STYLE

I consider myself to be an easy person to talk to, patient and fun. I have experience teaching different kinds of students from kids to adults in both online and classroom setting (more than 1300 lessons online + 3 years of classroom setting experience). I have been implementing a combination of the Flipped classroom and communicative approach into the lessons and so far, I have seen  great improvement in my students' ability to communicate. 

TYPES OF LESSONS AND MATERIALS:

Flipped classroom programme: It'll especially boost your Speaking skills in an organised, structured and visual way. Materials will be sent every weekend (video lessons, PDFS, flashcards, grammar games...) and all skills will be covered. In class, we’ll try to practice what you learnt through speaking activities.

Flex lessons: They can be a mix of structure lesson (the one above) and flexible lessons. You can also choose practicing your Spanish through my interactive magazine (B1-B2) which includes: articles, videos, expressions ... In class we can do debates and discussions around these topics.

Conversation programme: Based on the books “Conversar en español I & II”. We’ll do lot of controlled speaking practice. The course also includes access to the Power Points , audio files and notes from the lesson.
