I’m a TEFL certified English teacher and I specialize in business English, conversational fluency, and pronunciation. I also have about 35 years’ experience in the business sector, including 25 years in education.

Hello, my name is Nicoletta and I come from the small island of Cyprus. However, both my parents have British roots and I have grown up speaking English as my primary language.

As a person who has always been interested in other countries and cultures, I have embarked on learning new languages myself in the last few years. Most recently Korean! Doing this, I realised how important it is to have someone guide you and support you on your language learning journey. I hope to be that person for you, to aid you and support you with your experience of the English language.

I have had various experiences working with children and individuals both in schools and informal settings. I homeschooled my brother who has special needs in Science, English, and Maths. In addition, during my university years, I led year 1 undergraduate students (both native English and international students) in various projects with the English language being key in the design and delivery of these presentations. I have also volunteered at a school, with my task being to provide individualised support to students in a variety of subjects. All of these experiences have equipped me with the skills and knowledge to now lead my own classes. In the past year, I have been working towards my TEFL qualifications, completing the general course, an advanced course in preparing students to take English language exams, and a Business English course.

I believe in tailoring each lesson to meet the students needs. I believe that the student is the most important person in any lesson and that the teacher should focus their material on the students’ goals, interests, and aspirations.

My name is Vicki and I am a CELTA-qualified English teacher for speakers of other languages. CELTA is the teaching certificate issued by Cambridge University. I have taught all levels of English and all ages. I currently teach 100 percent online and I highly enjoy getting to know people from all over the world. I am also a cross-cultural communication specialist. As a result, I can help you improve your English skills and guide you in how to communicate in culturally appropriate ways. I also have an academic background (a Ph.D. in Social and Political Thought and a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours in Art History and Political Studies). Please note, that while I can understand a lot of German my spoken level is B1 and my lessons are normally held completely in English.

About me:

I’m Diana, a friendly and patient English teacher from the beautiful city of Cape Town currently living in Portugal. In 2017, I completed my TESOL and TEYLT trainings and since then I have worked with students from all around the world both in language schools and online. I have lived and taught English in 5 different countries (Spain, Portugal, Indonesia, Turkey and South Africa) to students of all levels (beginners to advanced). In 2021, I became certified to teach Ielts and have thus helped numerous students with  their exam preparations too.

I'm passionate about learning and teaching languages and have studied Portuguese, Spanish, German and Turkish. Through my own language studies, I have learnt that an active conversational approach is the best way to master a language! Some of my other passions include yoga, travel, food and art!:)

My approach to teaching depends a lot on the level and goals of the student. Each student is unique with different necessities so I don’t have a one size fits all proposition. I am a professional English teacher with more than 30 years of teaching experience mainly in US - NYC and UK - East Midlands. Initially as a college English and Maths teacher, these days I teach online.
