I have had several lessons now with Adrián and they have all been excellent. I requested to prioritize speaking practice, and he consistently initiates each session with natural, casual conversation. His methodology is very organized. He keeps detailed notes on our discussions, including specific corrections. Plus, he provides personalized short tests after every lesson to reinforce the concepts covered, along with supplemental exercises for independent practice.

Adrián has been my tutor for more than three years and we have met pretty much weekly during this time. I have had lessons with other tutors/groups from time to time (when travelling, for example), but I find Adrián's lessons continue to be best. He is always prepared and structures lessons for a good combination of conversation, grammar and skill-building. The overall structure of the lesson is never rigid and Adrián adapts lessons to meet any needs that arise. From time to time, Adrián changes things up to incorporate different strategies for writing and reading. He makes written annotations in real time to support my learning and always follows up with a summary email including 'next steps' and support materials. Personally, Adrián is kind, patient, supportive and flexible - this makes lessons both effective and pleasurable. I'm not sure how common this is - in my experience, not very - but I think it is very helpful that Adrián is a remarkably fluent English-speaker - he is able to explain nuanced aspects of the Spanish language in terms that are meaningful to me and help enhance my learning. I always look forward to my next lesson!

I had another interesting, informative and engaging lesson with Adrián today. He always leads a mix of discussion, instruction and structured practice and is prepared to divert the plan to take advantage of a presented learning opportunity. We have been meeting regularly for just over two years and there is no question my Spanish is much improved as a result... and the lessons are always relaxed and fun... even when I'm feeling stressed about it!
