Hi, I’m Liz — a native British English speaker and CELTA-qualified teacher with a BA in English Literature. I’ve lived and worked in London for most of my life, and I bring that real-world language experience directly into my lessons.

I have several years of experience teaching English online in personalised 1-to-1 sessions, as well as in-person classes with groups of young learners at UK language camps. My lessons are centred around your goals, your level, and your learning style. Whether you’re preparing for an exam, improving your speaking confidence, or building a stronger foundation in grammar and vocabulary, I design each lesson specifically for you.

During our trial or first lesson, I’ll take time to understand what you need and create a clear plan to help you make progress. This might include a structured curriculum, guided conversation practice, targeted error correction, or skills-focused tasks.

I use a variety of high-quality materials such as course books, online exercises, authentic articles and short stories, and interactive speaking activities. As a literature graduate, I also enjoy helping students prepare for English Literature exams, both in the UK and internationally — these lessons are always a highlight for me.

My teaching style is supportive, patient and encouraging. I believe that learning is most successful when lessons feel enjoyable, relevant, and achievable. My aim is to help you feel confident using English in real situations, and to guide you through your language goals step by step.
