CELTA Qualified English Teacher with BA in English Literature.
Hi, I’m Liz. I’m a native English speaker and I have spent most of my life living and working in London, England.
I have a CELTA qualification for teaching English as a foreign language, and I also have a BA in English Literature from a central London university.
My teaching experience has been predominately online in 1-2-1 lessons, but I also have experience teaching in person to groups of children at language camp in the UK.
I plan bespoke lessons specifically to meet your needs. During the trial, or initial lesson I will spend time getting to know you and thinking about how I can best help you to meet your goals. This may be by working together on a structured curriculum, or perhaps you need to focus on your speaking skills so you can improve your confidence.
I use a variety of materials, including course books, online exercises and news articles.
I have also helped some of my students to prepare for their English Literature exams, here in the UK, or internationally. I particularly enjoy these lessons as I am passionate about literature.

Liz is an incredible teacher — always kind, approachable, and exceptionally well-prepared. I’ve been studying with her for over a year, and a few days ago, I finally achieved my IELTS certification, scoring a 7, exactly as I had hoped. Despite this wonderful accomplishment, I’ve decided to continue studying with her to improve further and reach the next level. Since I’m passionate about literature, we’re planning to work together on English literature and creative writing. I’m so excited to start this new journey with her!

It has been two years since my first lesson with Liz. I would never feel regret taking the English course, as Liz is such a great teacher. Not only did she make me remember all those useful grammar and pronunciation techniques , the fact she made me open up my eyes to explore various genres of music and different topics of articles, all these activities did help me to improve my reading and listening skills. Truth be told, now I feel full of confident to order food at restaurants, and also have so much fun to watch movies and TV. programme. Alice

I've completed a cycle of ten lessons with Liz and I couldn't be more satisfied with my progress. She helped me so much with overcoming my fear of speaking in a foreign language. Her manners are kind and supportive and in every lesson she proposes a new stimulating topic to focus on, combining conversation with grammar and vocabulary tips.
