Γεια! I'm Georgia, and I have been a full-time Greek tutor for the past 4 years.
To help you determine if I am the right tutor for you, I have answered a few things you might want to know about me:
What levels do you teach? Do you have a specialization?
I teach all levels, but I could say that I specialize in beginners since I have the most experience with students who start from scratch.
What can you teach me?
I can teach you everything that you need to know in order to achieve your individual goals:
- Reading, writing, pronunciation, grammar (don't worry, I won't give you a headache by expecting you to learn all the grammar rules by the book; there are more easy and fun ways to learn something! ), vocabulary, listening, speaking, and, of course, sharing with you my culture as a Greek.
Do you have a specific teaching style?
My teaching approach depends on my students' level and needs, but generally, I believe that learning through conversation and examples while having some fun in the process is the best way not only to learn a new language but also to love the language!
What kind of resources do you use?
I have many textbooks that target different needs (listening, grammar, etc.), and I have also created my own notes and exercises that I believe will help you understand Greek a bit better. With more advanced students, I also work with Greek songs, videos, TV shows, stand-up comedy bits, and even memes and jokes in Greek!
What should I expect from my trial lesson with you?
We will talk about your level in Greek, your experience with the language, and your future goals regarding the language. Together, we will create a plan according to your needs.
Is there anything else I should know before my lesson?
Yes! What is very important to me is that you feel relaxed during the lessons. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and trying to speak. Remember that I'm here to help you in any way I can! Just be yourself, and don't be afraid to make lots of mistakes!

I am super excited about the huge progress I've already made. Georgia makes learning super fun and interesting. Her lessons are always well thought out and tapered to your own needs. I'm so happy I started taking lessons with Georgia and highly recommend her. I began learning Greek with Georgia as an absolute beginner. Although my family is Greek, I knew absolutely no Greek, and was starting from zero. I felt intimidated and overwhelmed. My family is stunned at how quickly my Greek has progressed. It is all because of Georgia! She is patient and kind but also energetic and knows how to keep her students motivated, especially at the beginning when the learning curve is steep. And, she teaches grammatically correct Greek! (My family often comments about this and how good of a teacher she is.) She is fluent in English and knows how to explain grammatical concepts that can be difficult to understand. If you choose Georgia as a teacher, you will be amazed at your language progress and have fun while doing it. From knowing nothing, I am now living in Greece for a while and practicing my Greek every day with confidence.
