Hi there,
My name is Christine. I’m half German, half Belgian, and I have lived in Mexico for 19 years. I have been a teacher for 16 years and I have taught different subjects and languages, such as English, German, Spanish, world history, and geography. My teaching approach depends on the student's level and interests. That being said, I believe that conversation is an important part of learning a language, and so I often focus on conversation or question-answer sessions in my classes. I love teaching and I always aim to make classes interesting.
I currently use the Netzwerk textbook and workbook by Klett (for A1 level), but I am open to working with other books as well.
My Spanish level is excellent. I speak Latin American Spanish, but I know the grammar for Spanish from both Spain and Latin America.

I enjoyed my lesson with Christine very much as always. She has an incredible knowledge of how English and German interrelate. She allows me to go at my own pace. She has a lot of linguistic depth and speaks several languages fluently.

Christine is a wonderful teacher. She has a lovely, patient manner and her instruction is always very helpful. She personalizes the lessons for every student, so I never feel as though I am getting an off-the-rack lesson. Each one is special. In fact, she co-plans the lessons with me. She referred me to a digital textbook which is the best of its kind. I enjoy each lesson and strongly recommend her to anyone looking to improve their German. An aside: she is also a writer of novels. I just completed one in English and found it to be riveting!

Christine is Top Notch! She is a true language teacher, who enters each class with a prepared lesson plan, but is also flexible to move at the student's pace or topic. She provides personalized lessons that not only engage you during class but also inspire you to continue learning outside of the classroom. She provides homework that is challenging and feedback that is constructive. She identifies your learning style and teaches you in that manner. She's funny and realistic. She's always on time, patient, and has no problem pushing your comfort zone boundaries to help you excel as you fumble through a new language! So grateful to have Christine on this learning journey!
