If you have credits remaining from a previously-purchased package, please e-mail me to schedule.  I don't currently have any availability on my calendar, but I will work with you to schedule your remaining sessions.  After we agree on times for your remaining sessions, I will add those slots to my LanguaTalk calendar for you. 

Please do not purchase any additional lessons without contacting me first.   I am not accepting new bookings at this time; that is why there are no open slots on my LanguaTalk calendar.   Please email me if you'd like me to let you know when my schedule reopens. 

TEFL/CeOLT-Certified English Tutor

Hi there!  I'm Deborah, a TEFL-certified English teacher from the US.  I’ll provide a warm, friendly environment where you'll feel comfortable speaking and practicing English.

I like to keep sessions fun and engaging by using a variety of methods.

Depending on your level and preferences, we can: 

• work with authentic content (videos, songs, readings) designed for native English speakers,
• follow a more structured approach (modern, communication-oriented textbook or program), or
• emphasize conversation

Many students enjoy "getting the best of all worlds," and using a mix of different approaches.  Regardless of the specific approach we choose, you will always have many opportunities to speak during our sessions!

• CeOLT certification (from polyglot Olly Richards' program, StoryLearning), Feb 2023
• TESOL/TEFL certification, Dec 2022
• Languages:   I study French and Spanish, and I currently speak these languages at an intermediate level.

Policies:

• Late Arrival:  I will wait for 10 minutes after the session starts.  If you haven't arrived or emailed me to explain the situation by then, I will close the session and consider it to have taken place.  The session will not be refunded.
• Cancellation/Rescheduling:  Lessons must be rescheduled or cancelled by no later than 24 hours in advance.
