Hi there! I'm Deborah, a TEFL-certified English teacher from the US. I’ll provide a warm, friendly environment where you'll feel comfortable speaking and practicing English.
I like to keep sessions fun and engaging by using a variety of methods.
Depending on your level and preferences, we can:
- work with authentic content (videos, songs, readings) designed for native English speakers,
- follow a more structured approach (modern, communication-oriented textbook or program), or
- emphasize conversation
Many students enjoy "getting the best of all worlds," and using a mix of different approaches. Regardless of the specific approach we choose, you will always have many opportunities to speak during our sessions!
My background & experience:
- CeOLT certification (from polyglot Olly Richards' program, StoryLearning), Feb 2023
- TESOL/TEFL certification, Dec 2022
- Languages: I study French and Spanish, and I currently speak these languages at an intermediate level.

Deborah is by far one of the best English teachers I have ever had. She is so kind, friendly, patient and professional. She is so compassionate and caring about your learning, takes detailed notes of what you say, and corrects you by making examples of the sentences and words you have used. She tailors each session to your needs specifically and prepares the teaching materials unique to you and your needs. I am so grateful and consider myself lucky to have her as my teacher. Nothing has changed since my last review! Deborah is simply VERY GOOD. She comes to our classes well-prepared and also works hard outside of class. Additionally, she always answers my questions patiently and explains a lot. The only negative point is the technology. Occasionally, our internet connection is unstable. And I'm unsure if the problem is with the internet itself or perhaps some background activity on our PCs.
