I am a German and English native speaker and have been a teacher for 25 years. I specialize in the exam preparation for the Goethe Zertifikat or equivalent and have considerable experience with professionals, embassy staff and medical students. My method is simple: I make it real, I make it relevant and most of all, I make it fun!

Jeffrey has created a very supportive and relaxed environment. The pace of the lessons is perfect for me, and I really appreciate how we start each one with a friendly catch-up about what we’ve been up to before jumping into the material. I like this format — it’s both comfortable and relaxed, while still helping me move at a great pace toward my goal of achieving a B2 certificate. Jeffrey is always encouraging, even with things outside the lessons, like when I read a new German book or speak with native speakers that I know. His support gave me the confidence to speak one-on-one with my boyfriend’s nan, and she absolutely loved it — it was a really heart warming experience. I truly have Jeffrey to thank for helping me build my German skills to the point where that was possible. He’s very knowledgeable and explains everything — grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation — in a clear, approachable way. He’s quick to gently correct and guide me, always explaining the reasoning behind things, which helps me understand not just the what, but the why. I feel like I make real progress in every lesson, and Jeffrey’s feedback is always constructive and respectful. Overall, it’s been an incredibly enjoyable and comfortable experience, and I genuinely look forward to each lesson.
