Learn Brazilian Portuguese Through an Afrodiasporic Lens
Hi! I’m Adelle, a Black Brazilian teacher from Rio de Janeiro, now living in Salvador, Bahia.
I teach Brazilian Portuguese with a focus on the African diaspora. I’m interested in helping people connect with Brazil through the language, but also through its history, culture, and everyday life.
I have a Master’s degree in Social History from UFRJ and I’m currently completing my training in Portuguese as a Foreign Language at UFBA.
My classes are conversational and practical. We talk about real life, use authentic materials, and work on the Portuguese you actually want and need to use.

Adelle is super friendly and puts in a lot of effort and preparation for the classes. What I also really like is that she continuously takes notes of your mistakes and goes through each one of them with you. I have really enjoyed my classes so far :)
