Bonjour everyone !
My name is Oana Maria and I am a professional language teacher and a Linguist graduated at the University of Bordeaux , France. I am currently living in North Norway. I came here to take a second master on Sami language and culture, and recently I have been working in an alternative school with kids.
I am an eternal language learner and a nomad at heart. I love getting to know new places, living in different countries and cultures and never stop learning. I consider learning a language as buying a new pair of shoes that will lead you to a new culture, experience and life style. And definitely, open up your horizons.
I am currently developing my own methodology to teach languages through theater and arts, therefore my lessons are full of games, dialogues and dramaturgical exercices to make you feel comfortable using the language but also creative and dynamic and ready to use the language in everyday situation.
I am looking forward to meeting you and walk together the fun, exciting and sometimes challenging path of learning a new language. I am here to guide you ! Let's go !

Oana makes you feel immediately comfortable. Even though I am scared of speaking french I felt able to try and explore new territory to express myself, and I learned a lot! Looking forward to more lessons!

Oana is an excellent teacher . I felt comfortable with her from the first lesson - I am normally quite nervous in a learning environment, but she exudes kindness and patience and is always encouraging. I never feel judged negatively when I make a mistake. (And I make lots !). She is always accessible by email and responds very quickly when you ask a question. I would definitely recommend Oana.

I love having Oana as a teacher. She encourages you to try even if you're not sure if you're correct. Making mistakes doesn't feel like failure because she focuses on the positive. She uses multiple techniques to help you remember the material and pronounce the words properly. Oana also also does activities and games that are engaging and fun. I've learned so much with her. I recommend her to everyone I talk to.
