Hello! Nice to meet you! My name is Reiko. I am from Osaka, Japan. Yes, Osaka! It's a fun and entertaining place to visit!
I graduated from a university in Kyoto and got qualified to teach elementary students in Japan.
I have been living in Canada for about 20 years. I homeschool all my kids and have been teaching the Japanese language online to students.
My students are from 6years old to adults (50s) right now.
I use 'Genki' for teens and older students, and 'Japanese for young people' for younger children, and I use other materials for addition.
Any textbooks are always welcome. I can teach with the materials that suit you.
Do you want to learn from Anime? Do you just want to speak in Japanese?
I am so excited to teach each student. I can learn through teaching students, too.
Looking forward to meeting you soon!

Reiko has been great at communicating through email, and she has been helping me to assess where my correct level is, since I haven't practiced my Japanese much in the last few years. She encourages me to speak a lot in the lesson and helps me to find the correct words.

Reiko is understanding and exceeding patient. She effective and efficiently tutors my 9 year old son and puts up with his gaming vocabulary which is admittedly hard for me to figure out in English. She helps my son write his ideas in kanji and hiragana and corrects them online which means she can read his handwriting-far better than me.

Reiko is great. She is patient with my 3rd grader. She explains math in Japanese, probably reading the kanji that he doesn't know.

Reiko is wonderful. I need her substitute for my son's sensei while he is taking sport during class time. I gave her the grammar and discussion points of the lesson and the teacher/parent handout and she used it perfectly. She helped my son's grammar and kanji practice for which I am sure he made mistakes. She corrected his kanji and sentences. We now have something to show the sensei (teacher) when he is in class next week.
