Certified English Teacher and Accent Coach | Speak Clearly & Confidently
Hi! I’m Jackie — a native English speaker from the United States with a passion for learning and teaching languages. I currently live in the rainy but beautiful United Kingdom. ☔🇬🇧
I hold a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate of Education) in Modern Foreign Languages and have been teaching both in the classroom and online since 2011. I love helping people from all over the world improve their English, reach their goals, and enjoy the learning process along the way!
I have a warm, friendly teaching style and want you to feel relaxed and confident in my lessons. I truly believe language learning should be fun, motivating, and something you look forward to. Every lesson is tailored to your interests, learning style, and ambitions so you can see real, meaningful progress.
✨ Accent Coaching & Pronunciation Training ✨
If improving your accent and pronunciation is important to you, you’re in the right place! I am a certified Accent Specialist and specialise in helping learners speak more clearly, naturally, and confidently. I create personalised accent training plans that focus on mouth positioning, key English sounds, stress, rhythm, and intonation — so you don’t just learn what to say, but how to say it comfortably and accurately.
In your trial or first lesson, we’ll discuss your specific goals and design a learning plan that suits you. This may include structured lessons with grammar and comprehension, conversational practice for fluency and confidence, exam preparation (IELTS or TOEFL), or targeted pronunciation and accent work.
I use a wide range of engaging materials including presentations, course books, and authentic articles and videos.
Correcting mistakes is an important part of learning, but I always do this in a kind and supportive way — without interrupting your flow or making you feel nervous. After each lesson, I send you detailed notes with key vocabulary, corrections, and guidance so you can continue improving between lessons.
I would love to support you on your English journey and look forward to meeting you!

This is my first lesson here, I felt like I was speaking my native language, not a new one. That's the magic: changing the flow of the conversation to make you talk about yourself spontaneously and forget you're learning, finding yourself in a real conversation, not just a boring dialogue. Thank you teacher Jackie"

Absolutely superb! It was my first proper lesson with Jackie, and so far it's been the best English lesson of my life. Jackie was well-prepared, with interesting topics and engaging activities. Her enthusiastic and energetic vibe has brightened my day. I feel lucky that I finally found such an amazing teacher, and I'm definitely going to continue to study with her.
