Bonjour!
I’ve been a professional French teacher since 2007. I taught French in various language schools, for big companies and at university. Since 2020, I’ve been teaching exclusively online. These experiences have allowed me to be in contact with different types of students, from children to adults, from beginner to proficiency, for leisure or business purposes or to prepare for the official French certifications (I’m also a DELF examiner). Therefore, I’m used to adapt to the needs and learning objectives of my students. This means that I can choose the right teaching material so that we can practice and progress according to your own goals and interests.
Languatalk is perfect to learn a language in a very efficient, funny and motivating way. My teaching method is based on oral communication and pronunciation, which doesn’t mean that you won’t learn and practice grammar and structures which are necessary to express oneself properly. Through the material provided such as books, newspapers, videos, you will also be improving your reading and listening skills. We can also work your writing if you need or want to.

I really enjoy my lessons with Christelle, they are challenging but that is a good thing. She opens me to new ideas and definitely moves me out of my comfort zone!

I have never studied French (and am far from gifted at foreign languages), but was inspired to learn French following my daughter and her family's move to Paris. My goal is to learn to speak and understand basic conversational French in my interactions with shopkeepers, mothers in the park, waiters, and my grandchildrens' school teachers. Christelle has been an excellent teacher. She is extremely bright and kind, is very knowledgeable about the French (and 5 other) languages, and is willing to share details about social, cultural, and political life in France. She is thorough about grammar and parts of speech and is patient with my efforts to correctly pronounce (and recall) French words. Although I have a long way to go to be truly competent, I can see the progress I've made with each trip to France; each time I go, I have more vocabulary, better listening comprehension, and more confidence. I've even been told in France that my accent is good! Even if not true, it made me happy to hear it and I thank Christelle.
