My name is Daniela. I am from Bolivia and currently live in The Netherlands. I am passionate about helping people who are interested in learning Spanish. I have 4.5 years of experience teaching at University and working as a tutor. Also, I have a postdoc University Teaching Qualification (UTQ), which allows me to develop, teach and tutor courses at university level.
What characterizes me most as a teacher is that I have the ability to quickly and fully understand the learning process of the student, because I was trained to do this. On a personal level I consider to be myself to be a patient, determinant, and social person. Besides the viewpoint of a professional I can also understand you well from the viewpoint of being a student, as I study Dutch myself at this moment. Tourism is another speciality of mine. I followed a master in it in Salamanca, which made it possible for me to live abroad for a while and have a cultural experience in another country.
My Spanish classes I make as interactive, practical and didactic as possible for you through songs, games, and exercises, which are according to your level and your needs. In our first class we will develop a study plan. To me it is important to know what your motivation is and what doubts you may have. That way, we can make class a fun learning place together!
My name is Janyne, I am from Spain, and since I was very young I have always had a great passion for learning new languages. I have been always fascinated by the ability to understand and speak in other languages and the doors to other worlds and cultures that they open to you.
Adult students have different motivations, needs, goals, and interests, so my lesson plans and materials are always based on all those factors to make sure my students learn and enjoy at the same time.
I also follow a cognitive and methodology, which combines traditional and communicative language teaching, where the main goal is to use all the vocabulary, grammar, and structures in conversations for real life situations.
The result is an enjoyable, relaxing, customized, and effective learning experience. I hope to see you soon!
Hi, I'm Federico and I want to guide you on the exciting journey of learning a new language.
Together we will agree where you want to go and how we will achieve it.
As each person learns in a different way, we will take advantage of your strengths and work in your weaknesses. The tutoring is designed to improve your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. It will depend on your needs and priorities.
In the lessons we will use whatever resources are necessary to achieve our goals. We will use material of interest to you, such as websites, newspapers, songs, podcasts and videos, etc.
I prefer to speak in Spanish from the beginning (ELE Certified). But if necessary, we will use English (120 hours TESOL Certified). I have lived in Africa and on the border with Brazil for a few years, so Portuguese is another option.
Traveling is a beautiful way to discover life. So enjoy the trip!
My name is Gloria and I was born in Barcelona but nowadays I live in a quiet place not far from the city. I am bilingual in Spanish and Catalan and I also speak English and French.
I have been teaching Spanish as a second language online since January 2015 and I have been teaching private classes in other topics to teenagers for about 15 years. Before teaching I had jobs related to my Higher Technical Certificate in Administration.
I know how hard is to learn a language, I know it because I earned two certificates in languages, my First Certificate in English at the Polytechnic of Central London and a Certificat de la Langue Française à l’ l’Alliance Française de Paris.
But what about my lessons? if you book lessons with me, we are not going to do only grammar. We are going to speak!
I will plan lessons according to your needs, level and desires and I’ll correct your mistakes throughout the lesson. I can help you with your pronunciation, vocabulary, expressions and grammar and we’ll focus on your needs based on our conversations.
Speaking is the most difficult goal to achieve and you’ll talk with me without any pressure. Step by step, we'll improve your ability to speak naturally.
If you have time to study on your own I’ll give you homework after the class.
But before you make a decision, you can book a trial lesson to find out if I am the right person to help you learn Spanish.
Hello and welcome,
My name is Patricia and I am excited to be your Spanish teacher!
I firmly believe that when learning a language, the content should be adapted to the student. This is why our classes will be full of conversation, interesting vocabulary and relevant activities tailored to your interests and needs with Spanish. My previous experiences as both a primary school and ESL teacher allowed me to see which parts of a language need more work and which ones are learnt more intuitively, common mistakes students make, and the different contexts in which a foreign language is needed.
Amongst our more common exercises you will find: Practicing real life conversations, useful vocabulary (that we can learn through games), reading stories and articles that we can analyze to practice reading comprehension, having fun with popular idioms and Spanish expressions, and writing tips.
But overall, it will be a class where we meet your needs, either if these mean improving your Spanish to get better at your job, to go travel in Latin America, to talk to your in-laws, or just completing your Spanish homework for class.
I look forward to seeing you in the class!
¡Bienvenido/a a bordo! Welcome on board!
The theory behind my teaching method is simple yet efficient:
A bit about me: I love learning. From languages (French, Italian and Portuguese) to music, to philosophy... At one point I found that teaching my mother tongue, which I adore, makes me renew my perception of it, so it feels like a never ending adventure. That's why it has been my main focus these past five years, spending hours and hours building a method based on active use and understanding of a language that is very much alive all over the world. It is a great pleasure for me being able to say that I gained some good friends thanks to my profession, so what else can I ask for!
Let’s chat and see what our first lesson will look like!
I am a Spanish teacher and translator with 10+ years of experience, several certificates in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and I am also a DELE examiner for levels A1-B2.
I am sure that you have had this experience: you traveled somewhere, you would have liked to be able to speak to the people of the place and learn about their life and culture, but your Spanish is not good enough: you have to turn to English, the conversation doesn't flow and it ends long before you would have wanted.
Wouldn't you like to chat without having to turn to other languages or having to think every single word?
I will help you to eliminate blocks and be able to chat, to communicate. We will focus on your ability to speak and gain fluency so that the language is not an obstacle to make valuable connections with natives.
- Spanish lessons with a conversational focus for all levels.
- DELE preparation.
- Perfeccionamiento para C1 y C2: great for you, if you already speak the language and have no or little problem communicating but still think there is room for improvement.
Now the important stuff: I live in Austria, have two dogs and a toddler; I love reading, traveling, and cooking; I am a Hufflepuff; I try to keep my beautiful plants alive; I collect stationery stuff; I love learning new things and when I start a series I love, I have a huge urge to finish it as quickly as possible.
My name is Carlos, I am 37 years old and I live in Malaga, in the south of Spain. I am a Spanish teacher for foreigners, I love meeting people from different cultures and teach them my native language as well as Spanish culture. I consider myself a positive, cheerful and sociable person.
I am currently an online Spanish teacher, working with students from all over the world. I have been working as an online teacher for 4 years, but before coming into this new world of online teaching I worked for 7 years for different Spanish schools for foreigners in the city where I live, Malaga.
As a Spanish teacher, I’d say that I am a very dynamic and attentive teacher, I give special importance to communication, without leaving aside grammar. I think grammar is important as long as providing a communicative approach . Likewise I adapt to all the needs, levels and goals of the student. Every day I look for useful material and tools for my Spanish lessons, therefore I can help the student with very suitable material which I have been saving and using all this time with students for their proper learning . Within this material there are images, videos, grammar exercises, vocabulary, communicative activities ... etc.
¡Hey! ¡Soy Michelle! Mucho gusto (nice to meet you)
About me / Sobre mí
Do you need to understand Spanish grammar?
¡Espero verte pronto!
I hope to see you soon!
My name is Samuel and I live in Madrid. In 2013 I got my Spanish teacher Certificate and since then I have been teaching Spanish in many language schools -in person and the last two years mainly online due to the pandemic. I have also taught group classes and individual one to one classes in companies. I have also helped many students to pass DELE exams.
I have a Philosophy Degree as well from Universidad Complutense. Madrid. I also really love to talk about a wide range of topics. I enjoy listening and learning from my students. Everyone has interesting things to say. With me, you will be talking about things you like without noticing you are doing it in Spanish.
I can share with you many books, videos, infographics, newspaper articles etc in pdf format so that we have always fresh and juicy material to discuss. These last ones are a fantastic complement because sometimes the standard books for learning might be designed –what is fine- for generic purposes. Pdf files are included in the price.
I have taught students from every corner of the world and from very different backgrounds. I love learning from my students while I am teaching them.
I speak very fluent English so even if your knowledge of Spanish is 0 don’t be afraid. You will always be comfortable in my classes. I am also learning French so I haven’t forgotten how does it feel to be a beginner ;)
I hope to see you soon!
I am a Spanish girl who has realized that teaching Spanish, my native language, is my passion. I started teaching this language in Spain, in an NGO called CARITAS as a volunteer to help the integration of immigrants in the risk of social exclusion and I really found it an amazing experience. After that, I decided I wanted to teach Spanish professionally, so I studied Language Teaching. I taught individuals and groups in academies and high schools in Latvia and Italy.
I am an accredited Instituto Cervantes examiner. I know the structure of the exam and its administration and grading processes.
I have also technical knowledge about the SIELE exam, its structure, the form of administration and its grading systems. I can successfully train future candidates for SIELE and DELE exams.
I would love to get to know you and share my Spanish language and cultural knowledge with you.
I hope to see you soon!
I offer conversation practice and structured courses, from absolute beginner to C1, grammar drills and homework if you wish. Wide experience with adults and senior students. I will provide you with notes and examples from our lessons, during the lesson in Google Docs, or after the lesson, via e-mail. You don't need to decide in advance if you prefer Latin American Spanish or European Spanish, I can teach you the main differences and help you decide.
In our first lesson or trial we will figure out how your learning plan will be, depending on your individual needs, learning style and goals. If it's your first online lesson, there's no need to stress, I'm very understanding and patient.
Oh and to tell you a little about me...I love animals, languages, reading and traveling.
My name is Lorena. I am from Barcelona, I have lived in UK and Japan and now I live in A Coruña, in the northwest of Spain. I love cats, travelling, getting to know people from all over the world and, of course, languages. I speak Spanish, Catalan, English, Japanese and a little bit of French. So I can also give you some advice having being a language student myself.
I have been teaching for more than 16 years and I have 9 years of experience as an online teacher. I love technology, it helps teachers to adapt our classes to students with different learning styles and it makes it easier to provide an immersion experience as well. I have a Master's Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and I am a certified DELE examiner so I can help you pass an exam as well.
My classes are very communicative. You will be start speaking Spanish from day one! And if you are interested, I can include culture topics on my classes so that you can get to know about Spanish music, cinema, history or news.
Are you looking for an experienced teacher who can adapt their lessons to your needs and interests? Do you want to learn Spanish while having fun? Please get in touch. I am looking forward to meeting you!
¡Hasta pronto! :)
!Hola! Mi nombre es Estefanía, tengo 31 años y vivo en la Ciudad de México
!Hello! My name is Estefanía, i´m 31 and I live in Mexico City
ME AS A TEACHER
He enseñado más de 1000 clases en el último año y me encanta ayudar a otras personas aprender mi idioma
Me interesa que aprendas palabras y expresiones que nosotros usamos todos los días pero que no se enseñan en métodos tradicionales para que no "te agarren en curva"
Si eres un principiante, podemos armar un plan con los temas básicos del español para que comiences a aprender este maravilloso idioma.
I have taught over 1000 classes in the last year and I love helping other people learn my language.
I want you to learn words and expressions that we use every day but that are not taught in traditional methods so as not to "te agarren en curva"" (that´s a Mexican expression we use when someone does something we didn't expect)
If you are a beginner, we can put together a plan with the basic topics of Spanish so you can start learning this wonderful language.
Graduated in English Studies by the University of Alcala and certified as a Spanish Teacher with ELE title, I have more than 10 years of experience teaching English and Spanish. I have worked independently, in academies, in classrooms and also online. I was born in Argentina but came to Spain twenty years ago, therefore I know Spanish and South American culture to the same extent. I am also passionate about music and writing - I love exploring creative projects!
My name is Alfredo and I am a Spanish teacher from Venezuela. My native language is Latin American Spanish. I have 8 years of teaching experience and I am certified to teach Spanish as a foreign language. If you don’t know any Spanish at all and you want to learn it or if you already know Spanish and want to improve it, I can help you achieve your goals in a dynamic and practical way. Spanish is not as difficult as you might think. It all depends on how you study the language. In my classes you will learn practical everyday Spanish to use in real life situations. I will develop classes to suit your individual needs, and I encourage you to participate in the process. You may want to improve your speaking skills or develop your listening, reading or writing skills. Together we can focus on improving the areas most important to you.
I base my teaching plan on The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages which is an international standard for describing language ability. It grades language proficiency according to a six-point scale, from A1 for beginners, up to C2 for those who have mastered a language.
Feel free to book a trial lesson with me so that you can see how my techniques work.
Nos vemos muy pronto,
See you soon!
I'm Azahara, a certified Spanish teacher by Instituto Cervantes.
I have specialised in teaching Spanish to English speakers, but I have also taught international students in Thailand, Granada (Spain) and, of course, online.
My lessons are very dynamic and tailored to your needs.
I really enjoy teaching all kind of levels: it is very rewarding seeing the progress of a beginner student that starts to be able to communicate in Spanish after a few well structured classes whereas more advance lessons allow to very interesting topics and a little bit more freedom in the structure of the lesson.
¿Hablamos? Let's talk!
A little bit more about me: I was born and raised in Zaragoza, a small city in the North of Spain famous for its wine, food and a football team that used to be good. I love traveling and languages: currently I'm studying Japanese, but I also (try to) speak French, Arabic and Spanish Sign Language; so yes, I know how it feels learning a language from 0! You're not alone in this process and I'll try my best to make it easy for you :D
My love for learning languages led me to discover my passion for sharing what I know with other people. Acquiring a language is intrinsically a difficult and lengthy process which is why I believe the single most effective thing you can do at first is to discover a way to make it enjoyable for you! It does not have to feel like a burden I promise!
I first started teaching informally with friends and family before I transitioned into a full-time teaching career, which is why I think I learned to enjoy this process way before I was making something out of it!
I like to think my approach to teaching is quite natural and flexible so I easily adapt to my students' objectives. As with everything else, acquiring a language requires patience, discipline, consistency, and of course time - nobody becomes conversational or fluent overnight, but it certainly can be done in a more or less efficient manner if done properly.
As a language student myself, I can totally relate to the struggle students have to go through along the way and the many crossroads one has to go through to achieve one's goals. I know how hard it is to create a brand new way to express yourself and find the confidence to do it.
I hope you find this short description useful and I also hope to see you soon in class!
Hasta luego amigos :)
Teacher of Spanish for foreigners, with training in Didactic Methodologies and extensive experience helping foreign people with cultural immersion and learning of Spanish language in Spain and Peru. I believe that learning languages helps us to meet new people and to understand and respect their different ways of thinking. Therefore, I love to teach languages and, in doing so, giving my students a bigger picture of our Spanish culture.
Hi! My name is Daniel. I'm 26 years old and I currently live in Seville, Spain. I have been teaching Spanish for 4 years now because I love to teach my language and culture to others. I'm interested in movies, especially french cinema of Nouvelle Vague, literature and music of all genres.
I graduated in Hispanic Philology with a master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language at University of Sevilla with more than 3 years of experience teaching Spanish to students from different nationalities, countries, ages and levels (from absolutely begginer to C2). I have worked with USA and Erasmus university students, refugees with any knowledge of Spanish, British, Chinese or Koreans students, among others. For doing that I have prepared personalized lessons based on the needs and interests of the students. Also, I’m an official DELE Examiner certified by Instituto Cervantes who has helped a lot of students to get their Spanish level certificated in different levels.

1-on-1 lessons are perhaps the best way to improve speaking skills, and because of this many students use LanguaTalk to learn to speak Spanish fluently. That said, some people have other, more specific goals. Let your tutor know what your goals are and they'll tailor the lessons to your personal needs. Most tutors can help with any of the following:
Most of the Spanish tutors on our site are able to teach students of all levels. When you click on a tutor's profile you'll see if certain levels are not supported. For example, certain tutors cannot teach complete beginners.
Likewise, you can also see on the tutor's profile whether they're suitable for all ages. Lessons are sometimes taken via LanguaTalk to support school/college studies. Usually, the tutor will be able to customise the lessons to follow the material and topics covered in the student's exams. Note that as per our Terms & Conditions, students who are under 18 must get permission from a legal guardian before booking.
New to LanguaTalk? You'll have one credit for a free trial. Many, but not all, tutors offer trials for free. If they don't offer this, the price will be just 30 percent of their full lesson price, so you can still try a session at minimal cost. You can also take a trial session with another tutor if you have any issues with your first trial.
Trial sessions are 30 minutes. They allow you to assess whether the tutor is a good fit for you, and get a feel for learning online. The tutor will assess your level and aim to understand your needs and interests so that they can customise any lessons you decide to take. You'll be encouraged to speak in Spanish as much as possible, but of course you can speak in English too! Book a trial today to see if taking Spanish lessons on Zoom/Skype works well for you.
If, after your trial session, you don't feel that the tutor is quite right for you, you can book a trial with another tutor for just 30 percent of their full lesson price.
Lessons are taught 1-on-1 so that you receive your tutor’s full attention and can progress quickly. Each lesson is 55 minutes long and is taught via Skype or Zoom, allowing you to communicate with your tutor and share learning materials as if you were in the same room.
The tutors vary in terms of their teaching methods, resources, experience, and personalities. So we suggest you look at several profiles to choose the best tutor for you. Whichever tutor you pick, they'll aim to tailor the lessons to your individual needs.
The beauty of taking classes online is that you can learn anytime, anywhere. When you choose a tutor, just check their calendar to make sure that they have available times that fit your schedule. Some Spanish tutors have limited availability due to teaching a lot of students.
We want students to have an exceptional learning experience on LanguaTalk, so we only accept the very best tutor applications. Though we consider qualifications and experience, we place equal value on communication skills, personality and reviews from previous students. Almost all of the tutors are native speakers of the language they teach, and they can speak English too.
Each tutor is unique - they have different backgrounds, strengths, teaching methods and personalities. So we suggest you browse several profiles to find the right tutor for you.
Our booking system is designed to be easy to use. You can see tutors' available slots in your local time zone. If you choose to book lessons with a tutor, you'll be able to buy them one at a time, or purchase in bulk with a volume discount. You can pay securely by card on our website.
You can manually add bookings to your personal calendar, or if you use Google calendar, you can add bookings automatically with our syncing feature. You'll also be able to receive email reminders to help ensure you don't forget to turn up.
You can reschedule or cancel lessons in a couple of clicks. Please note that this can be done up to 24 hours before the lesson time. We have this policy to be fair to tutors, who cannot replace lessons at the last minute and need some form of income protection.
Spanish lessons via Zoom/Skype tend to be cheaper than face-to-face because the tutor doesn't need to travel. Online Spanish tutors may cost anywhere from $7 to $30 per hour, but be aware that very cheap tutors on certain websites may lack experience. On LanguaTalk, Spanish tutors typically charge between $10 and $25 per hour.
Of course, receiving Spanish tutoring via Zoom or Skype is not the cheapest way to learn; you could learn via a free app instead. But if you're serious about learning, nothing beats 1-on-1 Spanish lessons with a great teacher.
According to the Foreign Service Institute, if you already speak English, Spanish is one of the easiest languages to learn. The exact amount of time it will take you to become fluent will depend on many factors, such as your current level, your knowledge of similar languages, your capacity to learn, how you study, and how intensively you study. Some students who take multiple Spanish lessons on Zoom/Skype each week will be able to go from beginner to conversational fluency within a couple of months. Others will take longer. Combining 1-on-1 lessons with an online Spanish tutor with regular self-study is an effective way to learn Spanish fast.
Most tutors offer both Skype and Zoom as options for the lessons. If they only offer one of these, this will be stated on their profile. Both tools are free, easy to use and perfect for language learning. They allow you to do everything you would do in a physical classroom: speak, listen, read, write, and share learning materials. Your tutor will typically write corrections directly in the chat area so that you can later revise everything you’ve learnt.
Most Spanish tutors using Skype/Zoom also use other technologies and resources to enhance the learning experience, for example Google Docs (for real-time collaboration), videos, and PowerPoint slides. If you're unable to take the Spanish lessons via Zoom or Skype, please contact our support team and we’ll get in touch with the tutor you're interested in to see if they're able to use an alternative video technology, such as Google Meet.
Students sometimes feel unsure about learning online because they think it won't be as effective as learning face-to-face. But usually when they try it, they find that the experience is almost the same and they often build a strong relationship with their tutor.
Once you start a video call with your chosen Spanish tutor on Zoom/Skype, you’ll be able to communicate with them as if you were in the same room. They’ll usually also share learning resources with you (using Google Docs, YouTube etc.) and you’ll be able to collaborate in real-time.
There is no 'best way' to learn a language - it depends on many factors, such as your needs, level and budget. If you can't afford to take 1-on-1 Spanish lessons on Zoom/Skype, you can use a free app like Duolingo to build your vocab. And to improve your listening skills, you can try watching TV and listening to podcasts in Spanish. But to learn how to actually speak a language, you need to talk to a native speaker on a regular basis and receive accurate feedback so that you improve. If you want to make fast progress, it's best to take private lessons that are tailored to your personal needs by an experienced teacher.
