My name is Metzly, a Mexican who loves music, art, and cats!
I like to help people to speak Spanish with confidence, even on the first levels of the language.
My goal is to build a fun, safe, and no-pressure learning environment for you. So, mistakes are encouraged!

After you book a trial lesson with me, I'll send you a comprehensive test that will allow me to determine your Spanish level. I like to focus on students' pronunciation and effective use of language.
My lessons are "Conversational Spanish"; if you are on a basic level, like A2+ / B1, we can have a more structured lesson.
If you don't understand a specific grammar topic, we can discuss it and use some examples -related to your life-.
We can also use pictures, paintings (my favorite way of practicing a language), videos, or anything that will help you to talk in Spanish.

Metzly has been the best and most important part of my Spanish language learning experience for more than two years. She understands my goals and objectives and customizes her instruction to what works best for me. She is aware of my other Spanish activities and coordinates those into my exercises and assignments. I have traveled to Mexico 3 times in the past year and on one trip, the Uber driver thought I was a local and not a foreigner because of my fluency and communication. I am very grateful to Metzly for being the key part of helping me progress to my current level.

Mis lecciones con Metzly siempre están exacto lo que necesito. Ella tiene una facilidad con las explicaciones simplificadas para los conceptos más complicadas. Sus lecciones tienen una combinación perfecta de practica de conversación (con notas para mejorar...pero ella les da con mucho cariño para que aprendas y no tengas vergüenza). Estoy muy agradecida por encontrarla.
