Quadrilingual (French, English, Spanish and German) I’m passionate about travel and foreign languages. I’m originally a City Planer and I changed my career to become a French teacher. After some years of professional experience in both Germany and France, I travelled around the world during 3 years learning other languages and teaching French to different kind of people.
I completed a certification of the Alliance Française specially made for French as a foreign language teachers.
I am a very patient and detail-oriented person. It is very important for me to take all the time needed for my students to understand 100% of my point.
A language is not only a sum of rules, grammar and boring vocabulary lists. It is a way to share and communicate between several persons in all kind of situations. It is also a chance to discover some new social and cultural experiences. I like to use social aspects and cultural differences during my lessons as a teaching support. In that way you also develop your social and cultural awareness.
Completely fluent in English, I learnt Spanish (C1 level) and German (B2 level) in language schools in Colombia and Germany. Thanks to those experiences it is very easy to put myself at your place and to identify your strengths and weaknesses.
It will be a great pleasure for me to talk with you about your goals, your needs and wishes regarding French lessons.
Talk to you soon!
Whether you want to travel or live in France and improve on your daily basic communication skills, learn about French culture, prepare an exam or an interview, have work requirements, I’d be happy to help you out.
I work with both adults and children, from total beginner to advanced level (A1-C1),
My method of work is quite simple, it is based on dialogue and exchange. French is a difficult language to learn, which can be really discouraging, especially when it comes to grammar and pronunciation! But do not worry, I am here!
My courses are adapted to the needs of each of my students and vary according to different objectives.
Basing my vocabulary and grammar learning techniques on the interests of my students (cinema, music, sport…) make my classes more interactive, interesting and fun.
Learning while having fun is the key to success !!
Having learned two languages with the help of private lessons, I can easily realize the difficulties encountered when learning a new language.
About me: I am a world traveler currently based in Mexico, I speak fluently French (mother tongue), English (C2) and Spanish (C1). My passion is to climb mountains, I am always looking to add other 6000m summits on my list!
Talking with you about your goals and needs regarding French lessons would be a pleasure for me.
See you soon / À bientôt
Bonjour, c'est Caroline.
Originally from Brittany in France. I am currently in Bali, living the dream ;=)
Through the years, teaching French became a real passion for me, and I think that I enjoy the progress of my students as much as they do !
Depending on your level, your needs and your expectations, I will build the lessons including more or less grammar and as soon as you feel ready for it, we will focus on conversation practice. Conversation is a good way to improve fast both your speaking and understanding skills while keeping the classes interactive and fun !
I love to talk about lots of different things and I will make sure that each lesson covers a different topic. Be assured that I won't forget to rectify your pronunciation if necessary.
Writing being a very important part of the learning process, we can practice that too. It's a very efficient way to see your weaknesses in grammar and vocabulary and to correct them.
I teach in a dynamic and engaging way and use conversation as one of my main tools, so you’ll get plenty of talking time. My teaching materials are constantly updated and I use lots of different tools such as videos, audios, texts and even crosswords if you like !
I wish you a happy day and hope to see you soon online for a trial class!
A bientôt !
I help, motivate and encourage anyone to have a better understanding, extend knowledge and improve confidence.
Tuition for Interviews, AP, IB, SAT,..., International French Diploma DELF, DALF, TCF,...and TEFaQ
I've taught in France, Denmark, India, Russia, Hong Kong and Berlin since 2009. I have a Didactic of Languages diploma from La Sorbonne University. I teach anyone from 4 years-old.
Lessons are tailored to each student using different books, music or movies to dispense knowledge of the French language and its culture. I look forward to meeting you!
You may have different reasons to learn French. It can be for job opportunities, living in a French-speaking country or just for fun. Well, don’t look any further!
I am a native French speaker and I’ve been teaching French online since 2016. But even before starting to teach, I once was a language student. Like you!
Except, I didn’t have a tutor. I am a self-taught polyglot.
I know the struggles, the difficulties, the problems you’re having or will have during your learning process. ’Cause let’s be honest, learning a new language especially French, it’s not always "fastoche" (the equivalent for "easy-peasy").
However, thanks to my experience in learning and teaching languages I’ve developed a method that will drastically help you learn French better.
To take a lesson with me you don’t have to know the 17 different tenses and modes in the French conjugation. You don’t even have to know what “conjugation” means. I don’t expect my students to be grammar experts. As we won’t have grammar-centred lessons. Unless you want to torture yourself.
My approach is student-centred, I will tailor each lesson for your level, needs and goals so you can effectively learn French in a fun way. You can book a FREE trial session now to get to know more about my approach and learning techniques!
A few years ago, when I was in bed at night and almost ready to sleep, I used to ask myself this question : "Why would people want to learn French? Are they crazy?"
Well... Are you?
It definitely takes guts for someone to take the obscure path of French learning, especially when you know that almost no francophone can speak French perfectly. And it is this courageous desire detected in French learners that made me want to start teaching this language almost three years ago. In fact, besides the syntactic complexity of this language (which, by the way, is most likely to be a cliché), French is a very poetic language, as it allows countless accesses to figurative speeches (so if you tend to be a little sarcastic at times, this might be perfect for you). Plus, French is cool and sounds fancy too, so... 😗
Whether you plan to
I would be very happy to help you achieve your goals and share my knowledge and advices with you as best I can. Please do book a 30 minute trial session with me to discuss your needs!
About me : My name is Clarysse. I am 21 years old, I've been teaching Latin and French for the past two years and I am very passionate about everything I do. If I had to describe myself in three words as a tutor, I would say funny, methodical and adaptable.
Hi all! My name is Miriam, I speak four languages and I have been teaching French online for 3 years. My mother tongue is Arabic and I started learning French since I was 3 years old. I started learning English in elementary school and had Spanish classes for two years at university. I also speak Italian as I currently live in Italy.
I have acquired some experience in academic support and language teaching. I would be very happy to discuss with you what interests you to help you progress in your learning. I am also available to adapt to your preferences in terms of materials and learning tools. Hope to see you soon!
I'm a French Teacher who recently finished a Masters in teaching French as a Foreign Language.
During this Masters, I learnt how to create didactic unit (lessons), exams, and how to use the CEFR (common European Framework of Reference for Languages). I have one year of experience in teaching English as well as almost a year in teaching French online. Whether you need some help with preparing an exam, want to build on your knowledge or just want to practise your oral skills, I am more than happy to help you!
I am passionate about civilisation and languages. I love to share my culture with foreigners as I get to know theirs. I am sure we can find many interesting topics to discuss and build up your French skills quickly!
Let's set your goal and start a work plan! There are many reasons to learn French, such as:
I can help with all of the above, and more.
It is always a pleasure to be able to have a fluent conversation (or a heated debate) with students who sometimes started as total beginners and to see them acing their exams.
As for the method, I use trusted manuals and activity books because I believe in structure, but also material that suits your interests and tastes - from literature to popular songs, news to scientific articles, series, and movies (subtitled or not), online resources and grammar exercises. Resources are shared on a Slack group where lessons are summarized, and tasks listed. I can also tailor-make lessons for a specific objective like a job interview or a power point presentation.
Teaching French has been my main activity for several years both privately and at the Alliance Française. I am outgoing and chatty, but homework is not optional (at least if you want to improve fast!).
Do not hesitate to book a trial session.

I wasn’t always a French tutor. I have been working with and for various companies for over 15 years.
I am passionate about languages since my youngest years. During my long stays abroad, I used to teach my roommates and friends. A few years ago, I decided to teach my native language in a more formal way. I started on a volunteering basis, teaching French to migrants.
After a while, I felt the need to improve my mastery of French teaching. That’s the reason why I decided to get a certification with the Cavilam Alliance Française of Vichy. There, I was trained according to the action-oriented approach recommended by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
As a certified teacher, I am able to provide you with customised, dynamic, playful lessons based on your individual needs. My goal is also to help you to learn how to learn with pleasure! Whatever your level or goals are, we will build up, together, the best learning plan for yourself.
See you soon!
I graduated in French Literature, Philosophy and History (Université Paris 10), and I hold a M. Sc. in Global Change Management (HNE Eberswalde).
Before I moved to São Paulo, Brazil, I lived five years in Berlin where I started to teach. There I tutored privately and also gave literacy classes in German for young refugees. From May 2017 to September 2017, I did training to be a French teacher and I taught French at the Technical University of Berlin for three semesters.
At the moment, I work with several language schools in São Paulo (IFESP, Versátil Idiomas, and the French Alliance). I have experience with teaching to all levels and ages. I also have experience in creating didactic material.
In parallel to my teaching activities, I also have a solid experience with translation work (English, German, Portuguese > French).
My methodology adapts to fit your desires, needs, and interests.
Depending on your objective with the French language (pass a test, work, travel, personal curiosity, etc.), I offer a customised learning path with lively and playful lessons.
During the last four years, I have gathered a large online collection of methods and teaching materials allowing me to build a learning path that is adapted for you. I can provide these free of charge.

1-on-1 lessons are perhaps the best way to improve speaking skills, and because of this many students use LanguaTalk to learn to speak French fluently. That said, some people have other, more specific goals. Let your tutor know what your goals are and they'll tailor the lessons to your personal needs. Most tutors can help with any of the following:
Most of the French tutors on our site are able to teach students of all levels. When you click on a tutor's profile you'll see if certain levels are not supported. For example, certain tutors cannot teach complete beginners.
Likewise, you can also see on the tutor's profile whether they're suitable for all ages. Lessons are sometimes taken via LanguaTalk to support school/college studies. Usually, the tutor will be able to customise the lessons to follow the material and topics covered in the student's exams. Note that as per our Terms & Conditions, students who are under 18 must get permission from a legal guardian before booking.
New to LanguaTalk? You'll have one credit for a free trial. Many, but not all, tutors offer trials for free. If they don't offer this, the price will be just 30 percent of their full lesson price, so you can still try a session at minimal cost. You can also take a trial session with another tutor if you have any issues with your first trial.
Trial sessions are 30 minutes. They allow you to assess whether the tutor is a good fit for you, and get a feel for learning online. The tutor will assess your level and aim to understand your needs and interests so that they can customise any lessons you decide to take. You'll be encouraged to speak in French as much as possible, but of course you can speak in English too! Book a trial today to see if taking French lessons on Zoom/Skype works well for you.
If, after your trial session, you don't feel that the tutor is quite right for you, you can book a trial with another tutor for just 30 percent of their full lesson price.
Lessons are taught 1-on-1 so that you receive your tutor’s full attention and can progress quickly. Each lesson is 55 minutes long and is taught via Skype or Zoom, allowing you to communicate with your tutor and share learning materials as if you were in the same room.
The tutors vary in terms of their teaching methods, resources, experience, and personalities. So we suggest you look at several profiles to choose the best tutor for you. Whichever tutor you pick, they'll aim to tailor the lessons to your individual needs.
The beauty of taking classes online is that you can learn anytime, anywhere. When you choose a tutor, just check their calendar to make sure that they have available times that fit your schedule. Some French tutors have limited availability due to teaching a lot of students.
We want students to have an exceptional learning experience on LanguaTalk, so we only accept the very best tutor applications. Though we consider qualifications and experience, we place equal value on communication skills, personality and reviews from previous students. Almost all of the tutors are native speakers of the language they teach, and they can speak English too.
Each tutor is unique - they have different backgrounds, strengths, teaching methods and personalities. So we suggest you browse several profiles to find the right tutor for you.
Our booking system is designed to be easy to use. You can see tutors' available slots in your local time zone. If you choose to book lessons with a tutor, you'll be able to buy them one at a time, or purchase in bulk with a volume discount. You can pay securely by card on our website.
You can manually add bookings to your personal calendar, or if you use Google calendar, you can add bookings automatically with our syncing feature. You'll also be able to receive email reminders to help ensure you don't forget to turn up.
You can reschedule or cancel lessons in a couple of clicks. Please note that this can be done up to 24 hours before the lesson time. We have this policy to be fair to tutors, who cannot replace lessons at the last minute and need some form of income protection.
French lessons via Zoom/Skype tend to be cheaper than face-to-face because the tutor doesn't need to travel. Online French tutors may cost anywhere from $7 to $30 per hour, but be aware that very cheap tutors on certain websites may lack experience. On LanguaTalk, French tutors typically charge between $10 and $25 per hour.
Of course, receiving French tutoring via Zoom or Skype is not the cheapest way to learn; you could learn via a free app instead. But if you're serious about learning, nothing beats 1-on-1 French lessons with a great teacher.
According to the Foreign Service Institute, if you already speak English, French is one of the easiest languages to learn. The exact amount of time it will take you to become fluent will depend on many factors, such as your current level, your knowledge of similar languages, your capacity to learn, how you study, and how intensively you study. Some students who take multiple French lessons on Zoom/Skype each week will be able to go from beginner to conversational fluency within a couple of months. Others will take longer. Combining 1-on-1 lessons with an online French tutor with regular self-study is an effective way to learn French fast.
Most tutors offer both Skype and Zoom as options for the lessons. If they only offer one of these, this will be stated on their profile. Both tools are free, easy to use and perfect for language learning. They allow you to do everything you would do in a physical classroom: speak, listen, read, write, and share learning materials. Your tutor will typically write corrections directly in the chat area so that you can later revise everything you’ve learnt.
Most French tutors using Skype/Zoom also use other technologies and resources to enhance the learning experience, for example Google Docs (for real-time collaboration), videos, and PowerPoint slides. If you're unable to take the French lessons via Zoom or Skype, please contact our support team and we’ll get in touch with the tutor you're interested in to see if they're able to use an alternative video technology, such as Google Meet.
Students sometimes feel unsure about learning online because they think it won't be as effective as learning face-to-face. But usually when they try it, they find that the experience is almost the same and they often build a strong relationship with their tutor.
Once you start a video call with your chosen French tutor on Zoom/Skype, you’ll be able to communicate with them as if you were in the same room. They’ll usually also share learning resources with you (using Google Docs, YouTube etc.) and you’ll be able to collaborate in real-time.
There is no 'best way' to learn a language - it depends on many factors, such as your needs, level and budget. If you can't afford to take 1-on-1 French lessons on Zoom/Skype, you can use a free app like Duolingo to build your vocab. And to improve your listening skills, you can try watching TV and listening to podcasts in French. But to learn how to actually speak a language, you need to talk to a native speaker on a regular basis and receive accurate feedback so that you improve. If you want to make fast progress, it's best to take private lessons that are tailored to your personal needs by an experienced teacher.
