My name is Florence. I come from France and I am an experienced French teacher for foreigners, certified by the Alliance Française de Paris and hold a Master’s degree in FLE (french for foreigners) to teach you my mother tongue. I have experience teaching a wide range of adults from all continents and at all levels.

But also ... before starting to teach French full-time and because of a double technical and commercial training, I worked for a long time in marketing and international trade for companies in various sectors of activities: electrical construction, car accessories, shoes… I also created my own business to distribute my creations of costume jewelry.

I’m originally from the East of France, a small town near the Swiss border, and I've been around a lot! I have lived in different regions of France: from North to South, from East to West, from Paris to Nice, from Lyon to Albi. After living in Valparaiso, Chile, I returned to Europe and then settled in Spain for almost 15 years. Today, I live in Alicante with my family.

I am from the south-west of France.. I really like my native language and I am deeply interested in the history of France, its literature, culture, cuisine...and I am also very international as I lived abroad many years, and enjoyed it so much ! Hello, how are you? My name is Sylvain, I'm 30 and from Belgium. I currently live in São Paulo, Brazil with my wife. I have a degree in management, but I've been working as a French teacher since I arrived in Brazil. 
I did a university exchange in Chile, which helped me learn Spanish.  I'm a curious person and I'm interested in almost every topic, but I particularly like talking about the economy, politics, technology and cultural differences between countries.After arriving in Brazil, an opportunity came up for me to work as a French teacher in a school for adults, where I worked for the first two years. After that, I decided to become self-employed and concentrate on one-to-one, in-company and online teaching. Today, I have students of all levels with different objectives (work, travel, pleasure, French language maintenance, diplomacy etc.) and I love it when they are satisfied and see themselves progressing. For exam preparation classes, I will focus on improving your writing and speaking skills to help you reach the score you aim at. I have helped many students get the B2+ and more in TEF and TCF Canada exams.

As for beginners classes, we can use a manual or have informal classes.

How I teach 👩‍🏫:

I like to create lessons around a theme (the news, french events, everyday life, ...), this way I can gather different activities around it. 

For example, we will start with a few questions about the theme, then gather vocabulary and read a text or watch a video about it. Afterward you will have a few questions to answer about the doct to iniciate a discussion about it. I always write your answers on the document to add corrections (if necessary) and to give you gentle feedback without interrupting you. Sometimes, I also like to implement speaking games at the end of the lesson so you can talk french in a more independent and ludic way ! 

Resources 📝:

I usually use Google Docs and/or Powerpoint for my lessons, according to what I am going to teach (for example if I need to share a digital media with you, I will put it on your personal Google Doct). Each student has his own Google Doct that we use for each lesson. I usually send you the link to your Doct after our first lesson ! 

Qualifications 💼: 

I graduated my FLE master's degree, I also have a BA degree in French language and literature and a BA degree in English language, literature, foreign and regional civilisation.

I am born and raised in France. I live in Paris. I love History, films, economics and travels.

If you like French movies, and would like to discover the French cinema, I am the one. For the students who are interested, I give a movie to watch regularly.

I have a BA in Management from SKEMA Business School and  a Master degree in International and European Management from NEOMA Business School. 

I used to live in the USA for a while (Miami) and also in the United Arabic Emirates where I started to teach French from A1 to C2. I have been teaching since 2006.

I am dedicated, teach by passion and I am so proud of my students. When I moved to the Middle East, I gave one to one lesson  and also group lessons with people from different nationalities and languages : Dutch, German, Arabic, English, Spanish, Chinese... I understand the different struggles depending on your native language. Learning foreign languages myself, I understand even better!  I teach also  children and I am also also tutoring foreign children living in France who have 3 months to immerse in French classes. 

I like teaching French. Confidence is very important. My method is based on 30 min exercices, grammar, conjugation and 30 min conversation  based on a short video for the listenning. If you are a beginner, you will wait 3-4 lessons before doing this exercice, but don't worry, you will speak speak anyway.  I hope to see you soon.
