Hello, I’m Peter from Gloucestershire in England. I have a neutral British accent (also known as ‘Received Pronunciation’ or BBC English). I have a TEFL certificate and tutored at a very prestigious Language School in Oxford over a period of 13 years. The wonderful thing about about tutoring is that I can focus on each individual student; I can teach you exactly what you, in particular, need. I can help you with your speaking, your reading and comprehension, and your writing. I can concentrate on any gaps or problems you have in grammar or vocabulary - all in a very practical way, at a level that is suited to you, and based on your unique learning style. Whatever your language goals I will support you to achieve them with patience and encouragement.

I have always loved languages; I went to school in France for a few years, spent a year at ‘La Sorbonne’ in Paris and lived in a French speaking country for many years. I also spent a while at a school near Heidelberg in Germany. I graduated from Cambridge University with a BA and MA in Modern Languages.  After my degree I started learning Italian. Recently I began learning Spanish. All of this experience and education means that I really do know what it’s like to learn another language and culture from a student’s point of view - all of the joys, and the challenges!!

The way I teach will always depend on the individual student.
