My teaching approach relies on practice and immersion in the language, through conversation and consumption of multiple medias (music, movies, books).
My main focus is making my students able to communicate and interact as soon as possible, so that they can enjoy their language-learning journey instead of just studying and waiting for a long time before they can actually use what they learned.
During our encounters we will talk, write and practice, intertwining the formal learning of grammar and vocabulary with the more entertaining usage of each skill you will acquire.
No matter the level you begin with, from first basic interactions to formal high-level discussions, we can work together to improve your skills and proficiency.
I am skilled and professional, but also flexible and easy-going.
My interests are mainly of the nerd-ish persuasion, such as fantasy and sci-fi novels, movies and series, boardgames, RPGs and suchlike.
I love learning new things and discovering old classics with my friends and my students, and this is mainly why I got my degree in philosophy and studied many different topics on my own.

The system is working. I'm making progress towards communicating my ideas in Italiano to Mick. I go away look at stuff online for my studies and try to incorporate them into my lessons. That seems to work. I have also found a confidence to wing it too. Together I feel that Mick is stearing me, gently, in the right direction 😁

Lovely lesson back today after the holidays. We covered elements of concern ,for me, in the lesson which has given me confidence to use them proactively in my speaking. 😁

My teacher, Mick, makes my lessons enjoyable, albeit challenging and at times difficult. But, the fact that she is able to make learning Italian "fun", makes the whole experience pleasurable and our time together just flighs past! Sempre cinque stelle!!!!
