I am Marina, a Portsmouth-based English teacher and translator. I have a higher education degree in English teaching, apart from my TEFL certification.
I'm passionate about languages, and I'm constantly learning and currently trying to improve my Portuguese and Japanese. I love literature, philosophy, all things related to astronomy and quantum physics, comic books, especially Japanese cartoons, and almost all forms of artistic expression. I'm also a big MCU fan.

I'm really happy that I found Marina on this platform. She is always available. With her kind, friendly and patient character she is able to make the lessons really happy and fun. I've never had such an amazing teacher! Also I'm always looking forward to each and every lesson with her!! With a lot of incredibly good material, Marina is able to make each lesson different and interesting. I have got the feeling that I'm making huge steps and I'm improving a lot all that with a lot of fun. Because of Marina praising me I'm able to get over my shyness and to speak more fluently and freely. She made me feel comfortable from the very beginning. I can only recommend her and I'm really looking forward to take a lot more lessons with her in the future!
