CELTA qualified and IELTS Teacher certified. Teaching since 2013 and exclusively online since 2020. 

I have extensive experience in coaching and business, having run my own sports coaching business for 20 years.  I teach conversational English on a thematic basis (topic-related) with an emphasis on correct grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. I also teach Business English (job interviews, negotiation, presentations, time management, meetings etc). I prepare students for IELTS and TOEFL exams.  In every lesson, you will be encouraged to feel comfortable speaking English, whatever your level. If you really want to improve your English, or learn more about the British way of life and culture, you have come to the right place. 

All my lessons are specifically tailored to the individual student's needs and interests, and we work at your pace. Most language learners are working at different levels in the four pillars of reading, writing, listening and speaking, which is why private one-to-one lessons with a patient and sympathetic teacher are so valuable. You will see an improvement in a very short time once you commit to a structured programme of learning. Homework is optional, but recommended.          

I live in the South West of England, and I have a standard British accent. I speak Spanish reasonably well and a little French. I have spent 15 years learning Spanish so I know what it is like to lack confidence and to feel that you can't remember anything under pressure. But I also know what a joy it is to be able to communicate effectively.  It is also why I love teaching because I meet people from all over the world and I learn so much about other cultures and countries. 

In my spare time, I enjoy walking, reading, cooking and riding my motorbike!
