After giving private lessons in English I decided to teach Dutch as well. Which turned out to a big success. For me it is important that my students are satisfied. I will adjust every lesson to every student. I discover weaknesses from students to focus on during the lessons. The students need to enjoy my lessons and have the feeling they learn a lot as well.  I am a typical Dutch. Down to earth, direct and patient. I like to help other people a lot.

I make my own lesson material. I make PDF´s to explain everything to the students. I search for useful material, which fit to my lesson topic. You can think about: menu's, reviews, articles, maps, recipes etc. I am using interesting topics which students will use in daily life as well. After the lead in of the lesson and the reading/listening for gist or grammar explanation, I give the students exercises to practice. I use a lot of error correction and I use individual drill. To let the students remember their mistakes. I monitor during the exercises to see if the student has difficulties. The feedback will be always in a friendly way.
