My name is Marina. I have been a French teacher for five years. I taught in Ireland, England, Spain, and Ecuador, with students of all ages and levels, and in settings both informal and formal. I'm new to LanguaTalk but I've been teaching French online for a year as well.
I offer different forms of teaching, depending on your level and preferred learning methods. For example, a beginner who needs structure might benefit from lessons from a written method that mixes grammar, vocabulary, and listening, speaking, reading and writing exercises, while a more advanced student would prefer us to focus on conversation.

I like Marina's way of teaching. She is interesting and makes class fun. However, the setting was not ideal because of the noise and the weakness of the internet connection. (Marina's comment to this: This was a one-time issue as I was travelling and agreed to give a lesson from a cafe so that my student didn't have to miss a couple of weeks.)

I have been learning French weekly over the past two months now and I thoroughly enjoy my sessions with Marina! She is very professional, patient, funny and animated with her French. She uses the chat to share new vocabulary and finds interesting online links to review together. She speaks Spanish fluently, so she recognizes my Spanish faux pas! I feel that listening and practicing with her regularly has greatly improved my fluency - I also use an app to stay up on French in between sessions and I notice a difference in my level of comprehension when practicing on the app.

Marina is fantastic! We've had a couple lessons at this point and she is preparing me for my quickly upcoming trip to France. I'm gaining a lot of context to concepts and themes that I wouldn't gain from doing an online language course. We are also able to chat in person so I can gain experience speaking in French. I highly recommend working with her!
