Although I specialize in teaching Italian phonetics to foreigners, especially English, Spanish, and Portuguese students, I always adapt my lessons to your level (A1-C1) and goals.
In the first free lesson, I will give you feedback about your level of Italian and ask you about your objectives and motivations.
Then, after understanding your level, I will create a plan to make your language learning fun and efficient and share it with you.
In particular, if your main aim is only to learn the Italian language, we can focus on all the aspects of the language (grammar, reading, writing, listening, speaking).
Instead, if you need to learn more about Italian culture, we will discuss history and traditions while learning the language.
I am very fond of Italian culture and I love to spread it all over the world. To know "Italy" is not only about visiting the cities of Milan, Florence or Venice. Italy is much more.
It is experiencing the calm of the Alps, hiking the Dolomites, eating Neapolitan street food, and being charmed by the Sardinian or Apulian transparent sea.
It is discovering Sicilian ways of life, hiking Mount Etna (Europe's largest active volcano), its widespread Bronte pistachio, and wines, both of them grown on volcanic soil.
But, first of all, it is a land of contrasts, which can be clearly understood only if you visit both northern and southern Italy, by getting in touch with the locals and their ways of life.

I have been taking lessons with Manuel for 4 weeks now. While I have studied other languages in university and in other formats, I have never been taught a new language in such a thoughtful and studied way as Manuel offers. Manuel is a linguist and a mechanical engineer by training and has a unique ability to break down the language and explain it's mechanics while teaching you to speak, read, and write in Italian. It makes learning Italian fun and fascinating! Beyond his teaching and linguistic talens, he is articulate, funny and kind. His dedication to teaching is evident In his thoughtful lessons - not just stock worksheets from a book - and his encouragement. I 100% recommend Manuel as a tutor and feel grateful I found him!!
