I specialize in teaching adults at the intermediate to advanced levels. I focus on fluency and confidence, using real-world situations.
DELF and DALF - I have a solid background teaching and helping the students prepare for the standard exams (A1-C2)
Professional – Business – I have taught French to multiple professionals wishing to work or live in France (Interview / CV / Presentation)

Very lucky to have a lesson with Valerie. I know her personally and have heard her enthusiasm over her students. She loves listening to others and to learn from them, their cultures, and their wisdom. Valerie is a natural teacher who finds great satisfaction in helping others. Valerie knows the French language not just from growing up in France but also because she was a great student growing up and learned the rules of grammar and the workings of the language to an impressive degree. She's very smart but doesn't broadcast it. I highly recommend her!

Valerie is wonderful. She is very detail oriented and challenges me. She has certain objectives in mind each week but also allows time to answer my questions and builds on my knowledge with relevant and personal examples.

Valerie is professional and clearly has an excellent understanding of the complexities of grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation for the learner of French. She approaches the lessons in a thoughtful way. She is patient - giving me space to think and speak and her explanations are clear and very helpful. From practicing with Valérie on a weekly basis I have seen a great improvement in my spoken french: my vocabulary, my pronunciation, my grammar and most of all my confidence have surged - which has been fantastic. Valérie is a very helpful teacher and also very patient. She's also been great for helping me prepare for my DELF B2 exam. I would highly recommend Valérie to anyone looking to improve their French.
