Hi! I'm Tabea. I was born in Heidelberg (Germany) and I grew up in Spain, so I am bilingual in German and Spanish.
I started working as a German tutor in 2017, while I was still travelling a lot between Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece and the UK. I soon found out that I really enjoyed online teaching, since I had the chance to meet people from all over the world. I love learning things about other cultures and languages, as well as improving my teaching skills.
My lessons are quite flexible: I believe there is not only one method for learning a language. Students can be very different and even one person won't feel the same way every day. Therefore I take care to adapt each lesson to my students' needs. Do you feel you need a little help in conversation? Let's pick different topics and practise your speaking/listening abilities. Or are you stuck with grammar? Let's sit down and answer all your questions step by step.
German is a very rich language and sometimes it can be challenging, so there might be ups and downs on the road. But the harder you push yourself, the more rewarding it will be when you reach your goals!

This review is long-overdue as I have been working with Tabea for about a year now and she has been great. When I first started classes with Tabea, I did not want to work out of a book and wanted to focus on certain topics and Tabea easily accommodated my request. I have now decided that I want to work towards the A2 test and once again, Tabea was great about it and easily shifted to start working with me on getting ready for the A2 test. She is very patient and takes the time to answer all my questions and provides good examples to make sure I understand. You can tell she really cares about teaching and I am very fortunate that I found such a good teacher!

Tabea has been an amazing teacher, she prepared me for 1 intense month for the B2 TELC Certificate and I passed it. While other teachers told me that it was going to be quite hard - almost impossible -, she always stayed positive and encouraged me. She was very patient and went the extra mile with me, I cannot recommend her enough 🤗
