Hello everyone! My name is YONGJIN (용진).
I was born and grew up in Korea. I speak Korean natively and I have learned English, Japanese and Spanish by heart either through formal educations or extensive travel. I spent over ten years living, working and travelling oversea. All four languages are tools to help facilitate our learning process.
I have passion for teaching languages and I love helping people learn Korean. I believe I have natural abilities to teach languages that I can communicate very well with people regardless of one's backgrounds. I am gentle, attentive and open-minded. I will be looking after your progress. Please give it a try!
I've been teaching Korean for years at private language schools and volunteer organizations(NGO) in various countries and currently, going through a course to be certified. it is called 'Certificate of Korean Language teacher 한국어교원 자격증'
I will be speaking to you in Korean during the lesson unless you're a beginner. We will discuss it in more details on the first lesson. (speaking ratio between Korean and other languages to explain). whether you never learned any foreign languages or not, I will help you build the foundations, boost your motivation and to be more confident in speaking.
In this online learning platform, the lessons have to be highly interactive. To be able to do that, I want the lessons to be 80-95% conversational. Interactive communication is the key to improving overall Korean language and it enables you to learn more practical and colloquial Korean. that being said, I will also cover grammar and usage of Korean, let alone conversational elements. I will promise you that the lesson will be educational, useful, street-smart and informative. Each lesson, You'll be learning conversations in certain places. Imagine, you're actually in that place and you need to speak Korean to get what you want. we can also talk about certain topics such as social issues, life in general in Korea etc. I have charts, dialogues, topics to discuss and roleplay materials ready for the first-time learner and experienced learners. plus, I have a physical whiteboard right behind me to support explanations in more details.
I look forward to seeing you on the first trial lesson.
Stay focused and keep being motivated!

About me
Hi, I'm Goeun from Korea. Students who want to be fluent in Korean, students who don't even know Korean alphabet, students who want to talk in Korean, students who want to study grammar for exams, and students who are curious about Korean culture are all waiting!
I'm interested in culture and languages like you, so I learned Japanese and I'm currently learning Spanish. This kind of experiences will helps you to teach you in korean. I lived in London for 2 years and met a lot of friends and taught my friends Korean. And now, I'm living in Malta.
I have a variety of interests! I used to do Crossfit in Korea, and I do yoga and jogging these days. I like to travel, that's why i'm keeping trying to learn different languages, cuz it makes me much more fun, if i can speak that country's languages. I also like to watch movies and animations. I have learned piano and violin, and these days, I am trying to learn ukulele. Let's share our interests and improve your Korean!
Teaching experience
I have a lot of experience in teaching Korean to Koreans, also I have about 4 years for foreigners. When I was in England, I used to teach Korean to foreign friends interested in Korean or talk in Korean about topics they were interested in with friends who already speak Korean quite a lot.
I can help you use Korean naturally. I speak standard language, but I can also teach you Korean dialect if you want. What kind of things would you like to talk about, and what topics would you like to share? Let's talk in a fun and friendly way!
About my lessons
I am planning to conduct classes according to your Korean skills. Like my Spanish skills, if you are a very beginner, I would teach you Korean that I use in my daily life. If you know how to speak Korean to some extent, I would like to talk about in-depth conversations or topics and teach you about the use of honorifics suitable for grammar or situations you don't know.
I'll be waiting for you, See you in the class guys!

+10 years plus expereince, + fluent in English, Mandarin, Japanese and some Spanish.Certified Korean language teacher. #Irene/ I used to work as a cabin crew with 04 major airlines for over ten years. Thus, I was able meet many people of different nationalities. That has opened up my mind and has developed multicultural thinking. To sum it up, I am a very patient and good listener with the ability to communicate with people having difficulty in the using the universal language.
Learning language should be fun and not stressful. For me, the best way to learn a language is repeating whats learned over and over again. I know this sounds very cliche. However it is fundamentally the basics that will lead you to a more interesting and fruitful learning journey. I am confident that you would be satisfied with my guidance. Please consider my trial classes. As there are limited slots, book a class to avoid disappointment. See you soon. ciao.

Are you a complete beginner? That is completely ok! Let us study the correct pronunciation of sounds step by step. Let's start with the 10 vowels! ㅏ ㅑ ㅓ ㅕ ㅗ ㅛ ㅜ ㅠ ㅡ ㅣ
Do you already know the alphabet? The next step is gaining confidence. I will make sure you can speak Korean confidently while practicing Korean with me.
If you are already at a high level of Korean, studying Korean through newspapers and TV news is more effective than sticking to ordinary textbooks. Let’s study Korean together on work-related topics.
I have already many materials for you to learn and practice. We can also work with other materials that you prefer.
Experience and certification
안녕하세요! 만나서 반갑습니다. Hello, everyone. Nice to meet you! I am Juyoung.
I speak standard Korean because I was born and raised in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. I love to write and cook and eat with friends. What do you like most?
Learning languages is not easy but if you see something fun, that makes you enjoy learning.
Dear everyone,
Just bring your enthusiasm with you when studying Korean with me. I will prepare textbooks, homework and everything in accordance to your Korean level.
Learning a language is related to understanding culture which will be rewarding, but patience and work is required.
Let’s study happily and have fun. And the most important thing is regular practice!

Hello, my name is Emily. I was born and raised in South Korea, but I currently live in Canada. Just like most Korean and anyone who wants to learn Korean language, I love watching K-TV shows and listening to K-pop which could be great materials to learn Korean in my classes. I am happy to help you on how to read Hangeul and to communicate in Korean, and I want to help you keep up on learning and understanding Korean cultures.
I don't have a teaching certificate, but I had great grades in Korean Grammar/Korean Literature subject back then. Also, I have more than 10 years of work experiences in admin/HR sectors in South Korea, so I am capable to teach business expressions or interview skills if anyone needs. In the meanwhile, I have a long-time experience of teaching Korean to my son who is in 6th grade now and I am trying to have him keep and develop his Korean as much as possible.
I am so excited to meet all of you who want to learn Korean cultures and language. Please book a trial lesson to get to know each other and share your goal to find the best way to study Korean.

1-on-1 lessons are perhaps the best way to improve speaking skills, and because of this many students use LanguaTalk to learn to speak Korean fluently. That said, some people have other, more specific goals. Let your tutor know what your goals are and they'll tailor the lessons to your personal needs. Most tutors can help with any of the following:
Most of the Korean tutors on our site are able to teach students of all levels. When you click on a tutor's profile you'll see if certain levels are not supported. For example, certain tutors cannot teach complete beginners.
Likewise, you can also see on the tutor's profile whether they're suitable for all ages. Lessons are sometimes taken via LanguaTalk to support school/college studies. Usually, the tutor will be able to customise the lessons to follow the material and topics covered in the student's exams. Note that as per our Terms & Conditions, students who are under 18 must get permission from a legal guardian before booking.
New to LanguaTalk? You'll have one credit for a free trial. Most tutors offer a trial for free. If they do not, they’ll offer a trial session at a discount compared to their usual hourly rate.
Trial sessions are 30 minutes. They allow you to assess whether the tutor is a good fit for you, and get a feel for learning online. The tutor will assess your level and aim to understand your needs and interests so that they can customise any lessons you decide to take. You'll be encouraged to speak in Korean as much as possible, but of course you can speak in English too! Book a trial today to see if taking Korean lessons on Zoom/Skype works well for you.
After your session, if you feel that the tutor isn’t quite right for you, you can simply book a trial with someone else.
Lessons are taught 1-on-1 so that you receive your tutor’s full attention and can make fast progress. Communicating via video call, you’ll be able to talk to your tutor and share learning materials as if you were in the same room.
The tutors vary in terms of their teaching methods, resources, experience, and personalities. So we suggest you look at several profiles to choose the best tutor for you. Whichever tutor you pick, they'll aim to tailor the lessons to your individual needs.
The vast majority of students take 55-minute lessons. But some tutors also provide the option of 30-minute lessons. If they do, you’ll see this noted on their profile (below their pricing and above the ‘Buy Lessons’ button).
55-minute lessons are recommended for most students. In general, we only suggest considering 30-minute lessons if they’re for your child, or you have an intermediate level and only want conversation practice.
The beauty of taking lessons online is that you can learn anytime, anywhere. To see tutors who are likely to fit your weekly schedule, use the availability filter at the top. Then when you see a tutor you like, check their profile calendar to make sure their time slots work for you. Some tutors have limited availability as they already have lots of students.
We want students to have an exceptional learning experience on LanguaTalk, so we only accept the very best tutor applications. Though we consider qualifications and experience, we place equal value on communication skills, personality and reviews from previous students. Almost all of the tutors are native speakers of the language they teach, and they can speak English too.
Each tutor is unique - they have different backgrounds, strengths, teaching methods and personalities. So we suggest you browse several profiles to find the right tutor for you.
Our booking system is designed to be easy to use. You can see tutors' available slots in your local time zone. If you choose to book lessons with a tutor, you'll be able to buy them one at a time, or purchase in bulk with a volume discount. You can pay securely by card on our website.
You can manually add bookings to your personal calendar, or if you use Google calendar, you can add bookings automatically with our syncing feature. You'll also be able to receive email reminders to help ensure you don't forget to turn up.
You can reschedule or cancel lessons in a couple of clicks. Please note that this can be done up to 24 hours before the lesson time. We have this policy to be fair to tutors, who cannot replace lessons at the last minute and need some form of income protection.
Korean lessons via Zoom/Skype tend to be cheaper than face-to-face because the tutor doesn't need to travel. Online Korean tutors may cost between $14 to $50 per hour, but be aware that very cheap tutors on certain websites may lack experience. On LanguaTalk, Korean tutors typically charge between $14 and $40 per hour.
Of course, receiving Korean tutoring via Zoom or Skype is not the cheapest way to learn; you could learn via a free app instead. But if you're serious about learning, nothing beats 1-on-1 Korean lessons with a great teacher.
Most tutors offer both Skype and Zoom as options for the lessons. If they only offer one of these, this will be stated on their profile. Both tools are free, easy to use and perfect for language learning. They allow you to do everything you would do in a physical classroom: speak, listen, read, write, and share learning materials. Your tutor will typically write corrections directly in the chat area so that you can later revise everything you’ve learnt.
Most Korean tutors using Skype/Zoom also use other technologies and resources to enhance the learning experience, for example Google Docs (for real-time collaboration), videos, and PowerPoint slides. If you're unable to take the Korean lessons via Zoom or Skype, please contact our support team and we’ll get in touch with the tutor you're interested in to see if they're able to use an alternative video technology, such as Google Meet.
Students sometimes feel unsure about learning online because they think it won't be as effective as learning face-to-face. But usually when they try it, they find that the experience is almost the same and they often build a strong relationship with their tutor.
Once you start a video call with your chosen Korean tutor on Zoom/Skype, you’ll be able to communicate with them as if you were in the same room. They’ll usually also share learning resources with you (using Google Docs, YouTube etc.) and you’ll be able to collaborate in real-time.
There is no 'best way' to learn a language - it depends on many factors, such as your needs, level and budget. If you can't afford to take 1-on-1 Korean lessons on Zoom/Skype, you can use a free app like Duolingo to build your vocab. And to improve your listening skills, you can try watching TV and listening to podcasts in Korean. But to learn how to actually speak a language, you need to talk to a native speaker on a regular basis and receive accurate feedback so that you improve. If you want to make fast progress, it's best to take private lessons that are tailored to your personal needs by an experienced teacher.
