Training out of Rikers Gym, he made his mark on the combat sports scene with a series of consecutive wins/finishes in Muay Thai. Recently he made his Karate Kombat Debut, with a hard fought decision victory. Mathew also happens to have a PHD in Clinical Psychology and a First Class Honours. He is currently doing research based at Adelaide University Medical School.
