Description: Styx released their eighth studio album, Pieces of Eight, after achieving breakthrough success with 1977's “The Grand Illusion.” This album would also achieve significant critical and commercial success with this album. Two singles would break into the top 40, and one would land just outside it at number 41. All of these were written and sung by Tommy Shaw who had joined the group for the Equinox album in 1975.
