By making such a factual declaration, Brother Singh stresses, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and truth” (John 4:24). Pentecostals praise God during worship. We do not sit idly with our hands folded to watch the service. Involvement in song, with hands raised and hearts rejoicing, connects our spirit to the Holy Spirit. Without that Spirit connection, we are like light bulbs without electricity.
