Description: The Middle East is focused on the opportunities associated to mining, and several new projects have been recently been introduced in Saudi Arabia, Oman and Iraq.
Each of these jurisdictions has established a route to lay the foundations of mining in the region. In Oman, the Mineral Resources Law was enacted to start the process, the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources was established in Saudi Arabia to help ease the procedure. However, in Iraq the Ministry of Industry & Minerals has formed a permanent coordination committee to oversee investment in the minerals sector.
