He completed his residency at the Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Nunley completed a Health Policy Fellowship from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons in Washington, DC as well as a fellowship in Joint Preservation, Resurfacing and Replacement at Washington University School of Medicine.
