Erik, a non-smoker, was diagnosed in 2013 with stage IIIA lung cancer at the age of 30. In that year, he underwent radiation treatment, chemotherapy, and a lobectomy to remove half of his left lung. After one recurrence and another surgery in 2019, Erik is now healthy and thankful that he gets to spend his days with his family at their home in Broomfield, Colorado.
