Instead of blaming these people when they hurt us, it is worthwhile to pause and reflect on our inner reality, questioning if there is something within ourselves that could be mirrored in that person. We must accept responsibility for the moments where we mirror less desirable traits in our relationships. This can improve communication, reduce animosity in relationships, and increase self-awareness.
