He was a World champion and competed for the US 4 times as an Olympian and won Bronze twice.
After retiring from competition after the 2004 Olympics he returned in 2012 to Coach the U.S.Olympic Team in London.
He has coached many notable students including the first person ever to win Judo Gold for the US,Kayla Harrison.
