Description: This is the homily (a short sermon) from our Good Friday service, which culminates our journey through Lent together. Our Good Friday service was a dark and heavy service that flowed between hymns and readings and special music. As we moved through the service, the candles on the altar were extinguished one by one, until at last we found ourselves in total darkness at the end. We left in silence, a stark contrast to the warm welcome we would find in two short days on Easter morning.
