Sean Stoddard was a 13-year veteran with the Mesa Police Department when he was critically injured in a car crash on the U.S. 60 on August 11, 2020. Sean noticed a ladder blocking a lane. He stopped his patrol car, activated his emergency lights, but before he could get out, a woman driving an SUV collided with his patrol car from behind.

Sean was critically injured and sustained a traumatic brain injury.  Sean says since part of his brain was deleted, he now uses the term Sean 1.0, and Sean 2.0, to explain his before and after.
