Description: Tasting Notes:Â Double-aged Dominican rum in both ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. Subtle tropical fruit on the nose with passion fruit, guava, and hints of fresh-cut oak. On the palate, lots of barrel spice with with the sherry influence taking over. This rum is owned by the same company that runs The Macallan, so the double aging and use of ex-sherry casks is no surprise. The spirit itself is light but still richly flavored.
