After dealing with a long term inflammation disorder Kyle became addiction to pain medications. He used his position as Sheriff to help feed his addiction. The medicine helped number the pain from life in law enforcement and everyday stress. Kyle was eventually indicted by a grand jury for 42 related felony drug charges.
