So there are 2 kinds of branches: The FRUITFUL ones, and the UNFRUITFUL ones.
There are some Christians that; their joining to Christ is improper and hence their salvation is incomplete. In the scriptures, Jesus calls these ones false disciples. Mind you, these are not unbelievers. They have believed in Jesus 'supposedly'; but their belief and surrender is incomplete and so they are not properly joined to Christ.
