Description: On April 19th, 1993, FBI agents began pouring tear gas into a compound known as Mount Carmel in Waco, Texas. It was the final act of a 51 day standoff that had taken place between law enforcement and a religious group known as The Branch Davidians. After a failed attempt by the ATF to serve a warrant to arrest the groupβs leader, David Koresh, for stockpiling illegal weapons, the standoff began.
