Description: Wheew chile, in the black community we truly believe in holding those secrets in the family. Even when it's killing our mental stability. Harbouring those family secrets keeps the infection in the family alive and well. It festers from generation to generation stripping our voices from us. We learn to be silent and take abuse from a very early age. In order to break the cycle you have to be willing to expose the sickness and kill it with antibiotics so that the injury can heal. This is how we start to break cycles, by facing the pain head on.
