Episode: Whiskey Review: Barmen 1873 Bourbon
Description: Â The latest from the Coors Whiskey Company, Barmen 1873 is a blend of straight bourbon whiskies, a 5yr MGP wheated and a much loved 5yr Bardstown Four Grain bourbon. Bottled at 92 proof, the result is a surprisingly REALLYÂ delicious bourbon blend. I put this on par with Elmer T Lee in terms of proof, drinkability, approachability, and finish. Soft malt notes on the nose with a little fruit and some oak. On the palate, pillowy soft fruit, followed by cinnamon spice, caramel, vanilla, and a deep base of malt. It's just really darn drinkable but with a surprising complexity.
